Although she moved slowly along the winding paths of Ironwood, Gerta rode with determination on Bill the donkey's back. Even though her eyes were weak, Gerta had a charm around her wrist to help guide her back to her home. the saddlebags on either side of Bill were stuffed full of some goods and other items she had gotten while she had been away, and she hoped that she had left enough for Adam and her goat Ivy to eat, but she wasn't too worried, she was just glad to get home.
The witch's donkey trotted up the path and finally stopped outside the hut with a snort as Gerta climbed off of Bill's back, pulling a carrot from a saddlebag and giving it to Bill.
"Here you go, good job Bill" Gerta patted the donkey's neck as she started to walk up to her door. "Adam! I'm back!"

Jamie had been sleeping, propped up against the wooden wall, on the end of Gertas bed, with what pillows and blankets about him. He'd been sleeping peacefully, with Adams head rest in his lap. But he was soon woken up by Adam barking and jumping towards the door, eager to see his master.
Jamie hadn't heard Gerta calling Adam, as he'd been woken up by Adams reaction to it. "Uh, what is it?" He rubbed his eyes, and a few petals from the flowers still in his hair falling of as his brushed the hair on his forehead back.

Gerta opened the door as Adam jumped up to put his legs over the witch's shoulders to lick her face, enthusiastically happy to see her. "oh i missed you too Adam, now down, down boy" Gerta pushed Adam down as she looked around the hut's interior. Her eyesight might be fading, but her ears were still sharp and she had heard Jamie.
"Well now Adam I guess you and Ivy had company to keep and help take care of you while I was away. So.....who are you young'un and have you've been waiting to see Gerta Elkweed? I hope so, since I normally don't like strangers living in my home without me knowing, but Adam here trusts you enough not to have chewed your feet off so what can I do for you?" Gerta asked as she put a hand on her hip, the other on Adam's head as she looked at Jamie, only able to make out the blurred and fuzzy blob that represented Jamie.

It had to be Gerta, judging by the way Alex acted around Adam, was never that friendly to anyone about from his owner and Jamie himself. He straighten up and hoped onto the floor and off the bed, trying to look as neat as he could while only wearing his tatty shorts.
"Err, Hello" he smiled and waved, oblivious the Gerta's sight. "I-I'm Jamie...A-Alex said I should see you."

"Oh so you're one of Alex's friends then, How has he been do you know?" the witch asked as she walked over to a chair and sat down with a sigh, then leaned over to squint at Jamie, but still couldn't see him very well.
"my, you've got skin like you've been out working in the fields for a month, but you look normal enough to me. Do you think you could help me unload some of Bill's saddlebags? I have to get it done before that donkey finishes that carrot or I'll have to have Adam keep him from wandering off on me."

"Er, yeah...He's okay, I think" Jamie wasn't really very sure how to say that he was told that Alex had changed, truth be told. he didn't know, Damian had just mentioned it in passing.
Jamie thought it was odd how Gerta said he was normal, save for his skin. He thought anyone would have noticed that he was walking on his tip toes. Um, thank you" Jamie, being from England, not a place well known for tans, first thought was that that was a compliment.

Cecil had gone ahead of Chris and Nick. He figured that if the path was going to lead to the hut, there wasn't anything stopping him from going ahead of the two people he disliked. Besides. They'll catch up.
I hope this witch has a mirror. Cecil thought to himself, Probably look like some kind of freaky anime character or something...

"Thats good, he may stop back one of these days if he needs something" Gerta said as she reached over to pick up a cane, only to find it wasn't where she left in, and it took a minute of groping around to find it.
"Try not to move anything around because I won't be able to see or find it easily" Gerta said as she walked outside, using the cane to help move as she went and made sure to secure the donkey to a post before noticing the blurred shape of Cecil.
"Oh, another visitor.....and who are you?"

"Oh" He said in a guilty tone and hung his head as it dawned on him. Jamie looked around, he'd moved quite a bit of stuff when he'd been cleaning the previous day, it had never occurred to him Gerta might have been partially blind.
Jamie went about trying to be as helpful as he could, following Gerta and taking one of the bags on the side of the donkey, which, now done with it's carrot, went about trying to lick his hair.
He kept hidden behind Gerta when he heard her greet someone else.He took a peek to see who it was. He wasn't sure, the guy looks sort of like a dog, furry in places, but Jamie recognised his bag, and his shirt. "Cecil?"

Cecil's eyebrows and ears went up simultaniously.
Jamie?
It certainly looked like him... Even though last time he saw the kid he wasn't as tan and he didn't have two horn things coming out of his head- and he wasn't as tall. The lack of clothes and the funny crown on his head might've had something to do with it too.
He took out his writing things and wrote down to Jamie, Jamie? Oh man, Blythe's been looking for you everywhere.... Guess running away's a popular option, huh? Could you tell her to let me in? I don't think she can read- I don't like how her dog is looking at me.
Cecil casted a wary eye on the witch's dog. It snarled at him, and let out a low growl. Cecil had been alright with dogs, but he never seen one so obviously suspicous of him.

Gerta clapped her hands together and grabbed Adam by the scruff of the neck. "You stop that right now Adam!" Gerta scolded the dog, walking Adam up into the hut and shutting him inside, before walking back out and over close to Jamie and Cecil.
"Sorry about that.... Adam sometimes doesn't like strangers, but if this lad here knows you I suppose you're ok. Your name is Cecil then? I'm Gerta"

Jamie did the hoof equivalent to digging a shoe into the ground to avoid looking at peoples faces. It had been only know he'd realised he was still wearing his crown.
"O-oh sorry, it's okay, I'm sure she'll let you in" He said, still looking at Cecil's ears instead of his face. He turned to Gerta, main to talk to her and partly to avoid further awkwardness. "Er, G-Gerta this is Cecil"

Cecil made a small bow and let himself in. For no reason he could have thought of, he stuck his tongue out at Adam. Which made the dog more aggravated.
He wrote on his notebook with Jamie still holding it. Probably should say about my little condition. And is she the Witch I've been hearing about? There's this guy leading us to her, I just went ahead.

"nice to meet you Cecil" Gerta said and then quickly became impatient with Adam's aggravated attitude and grabbed the dog by the scruff of his neck and took him outside, putting a loop of rope around Adam's neck and keeping him outside before heading back in.
"Sorry about that Cecil" Gerta said as she noticed something and leaned over by Cecil. "Adam must not like the doggish smell on you, Now, what can I do for you Cecil?"

"Leave him alone" Jamie told off Cecil for sticking his tongue out at Adam, sounding more like he was telling the dog off than a person. he knelt down by Adam and petted him to clam him down a little. "There there, it's okay" Only to have Gerta pull him away and take him outside.
"Oh, I haven't told her I'm t-the same Cecil, she can't t-tell" He whispered while still looking at Cecil's new note.
