You know when you've been watching anime too much when you start acting like the characters or are in an anime yourself.

LOL! I do the same thing from time to time myself... especially when I'm working on a cosplay and want to get the character's attitude just right when the costume is almost done. And no one wants to be around me when it IS done and I start wandering around dressed like them.... smile

Me and my friend Eleanor now have a habit of quoting Vash the Stampede, including his rather annoying, loud, ridiculous laugh. I've even managed to fall over anime-style when sitting before. It hurt a bit, but it was amusing nonetheless.
We plan to go to an anime convention at some point in the near future (perhaps the London Expo in October?). I want to meet Johnny Yong Bosch who did Vash's voice so I can force quotes out of him and capture him on camera doing them. Everyone makes him say "this world is made of love and PEACE!" Whereas I'd get him to do the laugh and various others as well as getting involved myself.
Have you ever watched Trigun? If not, you MUST.

Have you ever watched Trigun? If not, you MUST. I just went to a convention he was a guest for a couple months ago. He has a surprisingly sedate wit. If you want to spark some really interesting conversation from him, ask him about the state of the English-translated Anime industry as it relates to the internet (he has a very informative rant on fansubs!). Tee hee... I've been a fan of his for nearly fifteen years. sweatdrop Under the heading of "you know you've been watching too much Doctor Who when..." I found myself researching the dimensions of a Police Box today with a pipe-dream of building a collapsible one for the convention I staff in the fall... Berz.

A sedate wit eh? I feel sorry for the poor guy being made to quote "love and peace" repeatedly. If I get to meet him at some point in the near future I'll ask him.

You've had no moments in ANYTHING? Not even you know when you've played Castlevania too much when ......... (you start doing something related to the games)?

I once played and RTS game so much that I started dreaming in little guys with stat bars above their heads. It was really weird.

I was thinking more along the lines of "weird" rather than anything else but...they fit I suppose. rolleyes
I went round the house of someone I know, and when I saw a chest on the landing (don't know if you know that term...like a balcony inside a house on an upper floor). I immediately wanted to open it and acquire what was inside, and thought "I really have been playing RPGs far too much." Not only that, but as my reputation with the Tall Ships Youth Trust has risen A LOT, I thought to myself "I've raised by disposition with them to about....70 now I think." That term comes from Oblivion, the more people like you and trust you the higher your disposition with them. The highest is 100.

I've now found myself expecting to have a guard run into a store every time I pick something up inside one. If you pick something up in a shop on Oblivion, you've stolen it. The shopkeepers yell things like "stop there thief!" at you and a guard runs in and says "stop right there criminal scum!" and you either have to pay a bounty, go to jail or resist arrest. I generally just pay the bounty because I don't want guards running after me all over Cyrodiil trying to kill me.
So, often I find myself picking things up with caution until I suddenly realise "duh, this is real life, not a game."

And since I already posted those somewhere else, I wasn't sure if it was worth it to repeat myself here. sweatdrop

I was writing this afternoon. But I was doing something novel this time; writing with pen on paper.
I wasn't sure if I was spelling a word right and thought to myself "well, if it's wrong, the little red underline will pop up." And then I remembered that I wasn't typing on the computer with the built-in spell-checker.

This really one really only makes sense if you played the old Zelda games.
You know you've been playing Zleda too much when your vision goes black for about 3 seconds every time you open a door.
