The Angel king was dead, the ruler of the Dragon's insane with the Traitor. The Islands continue to wage war, but more violent then the World has ever seen. Rumours that the Elven king had been killed traveled quickly as more chaos spread silently across the land.
We now join those who survived five years later, guarding and guiding the new king and the princess, twins yet appearance very different.

Akiho, the princess, had gotten her looks from her father's side, her angelic face sought after by many of the men of the court. Although she had the face of a true Angel, she had a cold heart, learning only things that could make her stronger, her aunt, Eve, her role model and teacher. She walked silently down the hall, her silvery black hair pulled tightly back away from silvery blue eyes. Eve had canceled lessons and she was angry.

Shurnn is walking down the hall in Akiho's direction. He's escaped Kinj and the throne room for the time being. His blond hair is cut short and his red eyes seem to show his preoccupied thoughts. He looks older than his sister, but he always has. He looks more like their mother's family save for his blond hair. A small yawn slips past his restraint as he walks.

Akiho's eyes locked onto her brother and she walked faster before grabbing a small fistful of his clothes. "Where's Eve?" she growled, glaring at him. She had always been told how nice she was as a baby, always giggling. She never believed it. "She canceled my lessons without notice."

Shurnn raises an eyebrow. He's much larger than his sister, looking five years her senior. He grabs her wrist, removing her hand from his clothes. "Akiho, why can't you smile more like you used to? I miss your laugh.." He sighs. He is the Shield of Woe and she the Sword. He is her protector. "I do not know where she is. You must remember that she has her own child to care for as well. Ashir loses attention because of us. You should be more considerate."

She snapped her hand away from him, crossing her arms and still looking at him angrily. She didn't like having nothing to do when Eve canceled. She had no friends finding the other girls too obsessed with pretty bows or other useless things. She didn't like Ashir even more. He tended to attempt, and fail, at trying to steal her sweets. She was surprised he had gotten fat like the other boys who ate too many sweets. "She is the one who wished to teach me. Just put Ashir in the kitchen and he'll be happy for the rest of his life."

Shurnn scowls, his temper rising with her words. "Do not put others down over their looks, sister. If not for a fluke in genetics he would be much more like Kinj. Remember that next time before you speak." He grabs her arm and roughly pulls her closer. "You are a princess. Your people come first. Stop acting like a selfish little brat!" He releases her, red eyes filled with anger. "I have been to kind to you it seems. I will inform all that they are to be stricter with you. If you wish to be this angry little child you have become, fine, but I will not tolerate you being so selfish and spoiled."

Akiho stared at him, eyes wide, fear all over her face washing out her anger. She bowed her head. "I'm sorry," she whispered, feeling only defenseless without her sword at her side. Eve had been right in keeping it away from her....

He sighs and rubs his forehead before pulling her into a hug. "I only want for you to be happy, Akiho, like you used to be. It would break Father's heart to see you like this. Try wont you? For the sake of his memory if nothing else?"

She pulled away, angry again. She was so tired of hearing how great her father was when she didn't even remember him. He was a fool. A fool who went into battle unprepared, only caring for his emotions and not his life. "You may be strong for him, but I am strong for me so I can stop the World from being destroyed." She turned on her heel and stormed down the hall.
"Don't let her get to you," Eve told Shurrn, leaning against the wall, arms crossed over her chest. "I hear those words every day and sometimes, I believe them."

Shurnn's eyes shine with his anger. "Unlike you, I plan on teaching the little brat a lesson. She will straighten up. I wont allow things to carry on as they are. She needs a good spanking."

The Angel went to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "A good spanking will only make her despise you even more. She fears you yet she would take a knife to your throat the minute she had one in her hands and no one was watching." She shivered, carrying a scar on her arm for when she had slapped the girl during their lessons for a smart remark. "You must learn to punish her in a different way."

He smirks and starts walking towards the training room. "Then send my dear little sister to spar with me. If I can not teach her one way then I shall teach her through humility."
He slips out of the shadows next to Eve, a small smile upon his face as he watches the boy king walk down the hall. "He is turning into a good king."

Eve nodded and looked at Kinj. "I do not know who to fear, Shurrn when he's angry or Akiho when she's angry. Both scare me either way."

He watches Shurnn's back, seeing the silver wings with their gold and black designs come into view before the boy king turns the corner. "Shurnn for already neither of us can stand against him. He can kill even me, the son of a god..." He looks at her. "Speaking of children.. I think Ashir is mad at me. I told him he is to have no more sweets."

The Angel woman faced Kinj fully, eyes wide like saucers. "You told him what?!" There were some things that she would do to punish her son, but taking his sweets would be asking for the end of the world.
