The year, 3000, the city of the angels, Los Angels California, off the coast the Pacific Ocean and one of the busiest places in North America. It is the headquarters of the new world Alliance. A strong team of dedicated men and women who, along with their mecha machines maintain the peace between countries. They are the law and the protectors…or at least that is what they were made for. But there are those who would use this technology for their own selfish means and not care whom they harm on their power hungry exploits. Included in these battles are children from ages seven to twelve. They are taken from their families and trained to think, act and fight like adults. It is these children that have their brains implanted with enhanced computer technology and hence become more than human…less than children.
It's New Years Eve in Los Angeles, and the experienced mech leader is not at rest. He's with his Children. Only fourteen himself, but his new recruits are merely eight. He himself was hardly even into puberty. They are celebrating for the moment; they're hard work is almost at an end, for a few. The twelve year olds are advancing to getting a small mechas for the practice fields. While the rest of the children stay behind and learn physics and mechanical work. They've all ridden in one, they've all fixed the basic problems one may have. But he's worried his Children will not do well. As trainer himself, he worries that his job was not done right. But another shot calms that down. Sitting in a chair, on the 10th floor of the training facility, he stares out into the cold night as the ball drops on the small screen behind him. Seconds before the New Year, a different year, an E-mail appears on the screen implanted in his eye. It tells of a new set of mercenaries, and how they will no longer be the sole Company protecting the city, and helping around with other odd jobs. No, someone new has arrived. He shrugs it off at first, but soon, his Children, begin failing, some die, are kidnapped, or murdered in the city streets. Soon, after an investigation they find the other company responsible, and attack. This is not being the case. The government is not fond of large mechas roaming around the country. But the company is well loved, and so, once a new company is formed, they decide to start terminating the other, soon, the large Company attacks the fledgling society, turning Los Angeles into a war zone. The city is barred shut to keep them from getting out to attack other people. (Propaganda, and news reports fool the nation into believing the Companies are evil), almost as if it were an arena). The stage is set, and the young captain, isn't fond of it. Soon, he realizes these plans, and works with the other company, to take down the government.
