So from a recent expiriment I conducted, I was talking with a person.
Femalenoob1=Hi
Me: hello
Femalenoob2=Hi how old r u?
Femalenoob1= Im 14 im leaving Gaia when i turn 15, 15 and older shouldnt be on here
Me: Im older than 15 and Im on Gaia
Femalenoob2=PERV GTFO HERE!!!
Femalenoob1=Bye old perv
And they both walked away.
Another encounter happened a little after.
Malenoob:Wat up
Me: Uh, hi.
Malenoob:So how old are u? Are you older than me?
Me: Well I wouldn't know.
Malenoob: Im 12
Me: Im older than that.
Malenoob: GTFO! GAIA IS FOR 12 YEAR OLDS!!!
And he, walked away...
So from this little expiriment, I've noticed some noobs prefer to talk to people younger than them only to make themself seem stronger, or they think that anyone older than 14 shouldn't be on Gaia.
And that is my theory.(First time posting here and Im new to this guild, BE GENTLE!)

GTFO! GAIA IS FOR 12 YEAR OLDS! rofl That's so hilarious.Where did he miss the "Gaia is 13 and older ONLY"part?I'm 13,most older n00bs who are still on say I am to young and GTFO. rolleyes I'm old enough,and I'm staying.

Oh. Well you youngsters needn't worry, ol' 24-year old Azure gets that all the time. I wrote something about this in the GCD a few months back in that one big thread about noobs in towns.
I'll laugh if it was the same girl who had accused me of being a perv.. though it is unlikely.

I've never seen that... and I'm 16. Then again, when I interact with noobs it's usually as a grunny and they're usually more interested in killing me or smothering me with hugs than my age... But I have noticed that noobs shun each other if they're not above a certain age especially if they're looking for a gf or bf.

I haven't gotten that yet and I'm 15. I find it hilarious that they think 15 year olds on Gaia are *****. I thought ***** were targeting 15 year olds! xD

I'm 27... and, my gosh!!! I'm ancient... my kid is nearly old enough to be on gaia by that reasoning!!!
To be honest, I get given the whole 'OMG you have no life' thing... or the classic 'u must be, like some freaky lonely single mum'
actually I'm not... I am a mum, but I'm not single or lonely... a bit weird maybe, but that is all *eep*
and 'what the hell are you doing here?' to which I reply 'much the same as you, I should hope...' I am by far not the oldest person on gaia... but I am older, so I tend to think that the youth might think I'm some kind of kid chaser... to which I lol vehemently... If I was interested in these kids, why would I say I was 27?
The ones who are are the unusually literate or inconsistently txt-spk/literate ones who are saying they are 13, but seem to have too much knowledge for a 13 year old of things that are far more adult... I'm talking concepts and scenarios here...
And secondly, why are they the ones cybering and I'm the one reporting it...?
Apologies to those younger than me for generalising and suggesting that all youth cyber on here, which I know is not the case...

You make a good point. If you were some creepy adult that loves children a bit too much, then I seriously doubt you'd be saying you were 27. What's funny is that sometimes the ones accusing could be too young to be on gaia. I've come across a bunch of people saying that they're 11 or 12. Don't they see that you have to be 13 to be on gaia? Not that it would stop them from joining but at least from giving their real age. rolleyes

but the rules say 'no one under 13'... there are no rules in the opposite direction, meaning you can be as old as you like... I'd love to know how old the oldest person everyone has met/spoken to on Gaia? The oldest I have met is in her 40's... and I think that is just fine!
Speaking of which, the way the GD and other areas on gaia are going, I would be horrified if my son saw it!!! I haven't let him onto the web much... and I'm kind of afraid to!!!

I'm 13 and I get the whole 'gtfo your too young O:<' stuff all the time, my mother has been called a ***** for having a Gaia.
But so far I haven't heard of 15 year olds being too old for gaia, xD

I'm only 18.
And i'm new too.
