Now I thought it would be a good idea to say our characters alignments, seeing as how they may be important in the future or something...plus I am curious as to how people see their own characters.

Please when giving your characters alignment, give a good reason as to why they are that alignment.

These are the alignments, taken from Wikipedia.

Lawful Good

Lawful Good is known as the "Saintly" or "Crusader" alignment. A lawful good character typically acts with compassion, and always with honor and a sense of duty. A lawful good nation would consist of a well-organized government that works for the benefit of its citizens. Lawful good characters include righteous knights, all paladins and most dwarves. Lawful good creatures include the noble golden dragons. Lawful Good outsiders are known as Archons.

Lawful Good characters, especially paladins, may sometimes find themselves faced with the dilemma of whether to obey Law or Good when the two conflict - for example, upholding a sworn oath when it would lead innocents to come to harm - or conflicts between two orders, such as between their religious law and the law of the local ruler.

In the Complete Scoundrel sourcebook, Batman, d**k Tracy and Indiana Jones are cited as examples of Lawful Good characters. In the real world, the Scout Oath of the Boy Scouts of America also expresses a Lawful Good ideal.

Neutral Good

Neutral Good is known as the "Benefactor" alignment. A neutral good character is guided by his conscience and typically acts altruistically, without regard for or against Lawful precepts such as rules or tradition. A neutral good character may cooperate with lawful officials but does not feel beholden to them. A doctor that treats soldiers from both sides in a war would be considered Neutral Good.

Examples of Neutral Good characters include Zorro and Spider-Man. The Neutral Good outsiders are known as Guardinals.

Chaotic Good

Chaotic Good is known as the "Beatific" or "Rebel" alignment. A chaotic good character favors change for the greater good, disdains bureaucratic organizations that get in the way of social improvement, and places a high value on personal freedom. Most elves are chaotic good, as are some fey.

Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica, Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly, and Robin Hood are examples of Chaotic Good individuals. Eladrin are the outsider race representing Chaotic Good.

Lawful Neutral

Lawful Neutral is called the "Judge" or "Disciplined" alignment. A lawful neutral character typically believes strongly in Lawful concepts such as honor, order, rules and tradition, and often follows a personal code. A Lawful Neutral society would typically enforce strict laws to maintain social order, and place a high value on traditions and historical precedent. Examples of Lawful Neutral characters might include a soldier who always follows orders, a judge or enforcer that adheres mercilessly to the word of the law, or a disciplined monk.

Characters of this alignment are neutral with regard to Good and Evil. This does not mean that Lawful Neutral characters are amoral or immoral, or do not have a moral compass; but simply that their moral considerations come a distant second to what their code, tradition or law dictates. They typically have a strong ethical code, but it is primarily guided by their system of belief, not by a commitment to Good or Evil.

James Bond, Odysseus, and Sanjuro from Yojimbo are Lawful Neutral. Three exemplars of Lawful Neutral exist. These are the Formians, the Inevitables and the Modrons.

True Neutral

Neutral alignment, also referred to as True Neutral, is called the "Undecided" or "Nature's" alignment. This alignment represents neutral on both axes, and tends not to feel strongly towards any alignment. A farmer whose only concern is to feed his family is of this alignment. Most animals, lacking the capacity for moral judgement, are of this alignment.

Some neutral characters, rather than feeling undecided, are committed to a balance between the alignments. They may see Good, Evil, Law and Chaos as simply prejudices and dangerous extremes. Mordenkainen is one such character who takes this concept to the extreme, dedicating himself to a detached philosophy of neutrality to ensure that no one alignment or power takes control of the Flanaess.

Druids frequently follow this True Neutral dedication to balance, and under Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules were required to be this alignment. In an example given in a D&D rulebook, a typical druid might fight against a band of marauding gnolls, only to switch sides to save the gnoll's clan from being exterminated.

Lara Croft, Lucy Westenra from Dracula and Han Solo in his early Star Wars appearance are Neutral. The True Neutral outsiders are known as the Rilmani.

Chaotic Neutral

Chaotic Neutral is called the "Anarchist" or "Free Spirit" alignment. A character of this alignment is an individualist who follows his or her own heart, shirks rules and traditions. They typically act out of self-interest, but do not enjoy seeing others suffer. Many adventurers are of this alignment.

An unusual subset of Chaotic Neutral is "strongly Chaotic Neutral", describing a character who behaves chaotically to the point of appearing insane. Characters of this type may regularly change their appearance and attitudes for the sake of change, and intentionally disrupt organizations for the sole reason of disrupting a Lawful construct. Characters of this type include the Xaositects from the Planescape setting, and Hennet from the third edition Player's Handbook. In Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, Chaotic Neutral was frequently assumed to refer to this subset.

Captain Jack Sparrow, Al Swearengen from the TV series Deadwood, and Snake Plissken from Escape from New York are verifiably Chaotic Neutral characters. Slaadi represent pure Chaos.

Lawful Evil

Lawful Evil is referred to as the "Dominator" or "Diabolic" alignment. Characters of this alignment show a combination of desirable and undesirable traits: while they typically obey their superiors and keep their word, they care nothing for the rights and freedoms of other individuals. Examples of this alignment include tyrants, devils, organized criminals, those with samurai-like aspects, and soldiers who follow the chain of command but enjoy killing for its own sake.

Artemis Entreri is a prime example of Lawful Evil, as are Boba Fett of Star Wars, and X-Men's Magneto. The Lawful Evil outsiders are known as Baatezu.

Neutral Evil

Neutral Evil is called the "Malefactor" alignment. Characters of this alignment are typically selfish and have no qualms about turning on their allies-of-the-moment. They have no compunctions about harming others to get what they want, but neither will they go out of their way to cause carnage or mayhem when they see no direct benefit to it. An example would be an assassin, who has little regard for formal laws but does not needlessly kill. A villain of this alignment can be more dangerous than either Lawful or Chaotic Evil characters, since he is neither bound by any sort of honor or tradition nor disorganized and pointlessly violent.

Complete Scoundrel cites X-Men's Mystique, Sawyer of Lost as Neutral Evil characters. Yugoloths are the multiversal representatives of Neutral Evil.

Chaotic Evil

Chaotic Evil is referred to as the "Destroyer" or "Demonic" alignment. Characters of this alignment tend to have little respect for rules, other peoples' lives, or anything but their own selfish desires. They typically only behave themselves out of fear of punishment.

According to the Complete Scoundrel sourcebook, Carl Denham from King Kong and Riddick from Pitch Black are Chaotic Evil. The exemplars of Chaotic Evil are the Tanar'ri.



As creator I will go first...

Lukas Keith Alexander I would classify as Neutral Good formerly Lawful Good.

Because while in his old school he would follow rules at school and rules of the household with no questions asked and was a straight A student, however coming to Japan and being taught a majority of things he already knows he doesnt see the need to follow instructions given such as sitting in class like a good student, rather interacting with others surrounding him...a good example of this is when he willingly ignored Negi's teaching of the English language to play computer games and flirt with Chisame. However he would stand up for those incapable of standing up for themselves, especially when it comes to bullying, thus giving him the good side of his alignment.

My head started spinning while I was reading this for the third time trying to think of just what one Driviline would fit in. After reading awhile, I figured out what one fits him best at the moment.

Driviline- Neutral Evil
I chose this because he tends to only go after people who show threats to him, and as long as a person shows usefulness to him, he will be their allie, but the moment they become useless he will leave them without a second thought.

Okay..
William Chapton is Lawful Good, cause he believes in justice and law, but can also judge what's right and wrong (by himself.). So yea..he might not be able to decide which to follow.

Hmm..Now Chisame is...argh I cant decide.
But I'm gonna say she's also Lawful Good. She believes in laws and stuff..but you know..she's still an extreme hacker and will do anything it takes to get Chiu to be number one. Plus, she has pretty good judgement. I don't want to give an example, cause it might be a spoiler to someone. smile
Otherwise she would be Chaotic Neutral (mainly because of Chiu.)

FINALLY. Makie is probably Lawful Good, because she's so strongwilled and has good judgement, and probably obeys laws.

Ugh, I had trouble trying to read ALL of this...But if it will make Joneleth post, so be it...

Hades Vollfied - Lawful Evil
Having the want and desire for more and unlimited power, Hades is the type to not give a care for his victims' freedom once he's taken a bit of them, forever to be his slave. Also being the gentleman he is when really needed, he would always keep his word if he says he would, but wouldn't mind finding the loop hole of that certain promise to break away from it.

Takechi Kiroro - Neutral Good
Being the friendly guy he is, Takechi would never really mind something too bad or too good. But if it were to be something horrible, his mind would set on fixing that exact problem, leaving him no contro over his body. Plus the sake he drinks blocks him from even being in his own body...If you know what I mean.

Kotaro Inugami - Chaotic Neutral
Not being the type of person to listen to what others think, Kotaro would only get into a fight if he desired it. He would even bother to break a rule or two to get what he wants, but nothing really illegal such as stealing an electric appliance from a store. He never wants a fight where his opponent would give up so easily. But he does have a soft spot for females.

Ayase Yue- lawful Neutral
not really much to say there... ._.U

Tomoshibi Ryuuka- Neutral Good
Ryuuka stays to the law but is perfectly fine with breaking the rules if it is required to save lives, or benefit the greater good.

Yami (Tomoshibi Ryuuka)- Chaotic evil
Yami is the actual 'demon' half of Ryuuka and doesn't care much for anything. any shred of care is coming from Ryuuka. after massacring an entire village the town-head asked him why he did it. he laughed hysterically and said " For Fun" and promptly cut off the man's head.

Evangeline A.K. McDowell~ Neutral Evil
Evangeline you must admit is quite evil, hence her reputation. Though even then, she has her "moments" where she has shown signs of good. She's best suited for Neutral Evil because of that. She has some of a heart ya know~ Yet still so evil~!! twisted

Mizuki Kurayami~ True Neutral
One who knows there is the 'good' and the 'bad' she always chooses the side of which seems best. No matter what the consequence. She will go to almost any risk if it means choosing what is best. Though she seems cheerful on the outside, on the inside she can be dark. Being this way, it usually helps her make the right decisions in certain situations.

Seraphim Harmonia - Chaotic Nuetral Probably possessing the worst and most foul attitude in Mahora, the girl never is one to hold her thoughts, and actually has a sense of joy in putting down others and causing a bit of suffering here and there. As well, she would do so in the most creative and sometimes destructive ways. But, due to her liniage and how she has come from a long line of skilled healers, it's barely enough to keep her in line from truly going evil, and she will occasionally show a reedeming quality about herself tat would make people think otherwise about her being such a bad person.
