Yes. It's true, We (by we I mean the trio of Me, Rame, and Sei) pwn you. And everyone around you. Feel free to attempt to dispute this fact. But be warned. We will laugh at your attempt to disprove this fact. For those of you interested in rp fighting us or something of that sort. Not going to happen. Why? Because we already pwn you so we command you not to fight xd
And now for the real reason of this thread. Debates are something everyone loves to do. Weather arguements just to win them or actual discussion of serious topics. This is Evil Inc's place for serious discussion about, Gaia, The World, News, Etc. Have fun and try to be nice about things. And

there is no way you could pwn me... we've had this discussion...
okay... first debate topic...
should the federal government (or any government) shell out millions of dolors for the property damage caused by Katrina in New Orleans?
i say no because it is:
1.} an act of god.
2.} New Orleans is a city that is below sea level in a flood prone area... there fore uninsurable for flood damage.
3.} the facts in point two are well known facts (espically because the city has had flooding in recent years) so businesses and people were taking a risk owning property/runninging a business there
(sidenote so people do not kill me: i feel terrible about the loss of life and the suffering that the residents of the city are going through, but i feel worse about the loss of the historical landmarks that were built when people didn't know the dangers of building there then the apartment buildings that were built when they were. this debate isn't about people but property.)

I don't think the government should have to pay for the total damage or anything. Maybe enough to help out a bit. They're already sending food, supplies, and people down there to help out. I mean yes, they should help out a bit, but I don't think they should have to pay for everything, ya know ? People knew what they were getting themselves into when living there, and they had warnings about the hurricane but chose to do nothing until the last minute.

i say that the gov. should continue doing what their doing, but they also need to help make those walls around the city higher so that this doesnt happen again. other than that i dont think that their is much else the gov. could do that isnt already being done.
