Not sure if everyone remembers Elian, but I was in Cuba when all of that was going down, so it meant quite a bit to me and left quite an impact.

I'm glad that he's able to get on with his life, he was put through quite a bit of trauma in the debacle. People got pretty vicious over it and it no longer became about his well being but, instead a political snubbing of Cuba and the Revolution. Who knows, the kid could become a political player in Cuba's future and that would be a very interesting surprise for all of us.
