White hair swayed from the power of the core, blood running down her legs. A white dress adorned the fragile body, stained in a crimson liquid. Red eyes were barely open, her sight a blur. Pain surged through her body, hands pierced in large crystal nails. This went with her feet as well. A cross was what she seemed to hang from, body limp which caused massive pressure on the wounds.
The cross stood ontop of a catwalk that loomed over the whirlpool, the beast-like growls echoing over the mad laughter of a man. He stood on a lower catwalk, reading from a book, the mark on his head glowing. Oh this day would be glorious! The day the gods will be summoned into this world! The day Hades and Ares said HE would become god of Winter and Death.
His same crimson eyes peered onto Winter's beautiful body, her presence. Strange how such a pitiful woman would bring about the end. He took deep breath, a twisted smile on his face.
"Winter, your time has come...You ARE the sacrifice...Your cries won't be heard, and I assure you, you won't be missed."
Her lips parted, but nothing came out. It was as if she wanted to speak, wanted to fight. But what he had done...Nothing she did would be able to change anything. She shook with fear, but she wouldn't allow herself to be seen as a coward. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes.
What came next, not even she could explain. A song. A song to try to ease her oncoming death...
"Please, please forgive me
But I won't be home again
Maybe someday you'll look up
And barely conscious, you'll say to no one
Isn't something missing
You won't cry for my absence I know
You forgot me long ago
Am I that unimportant
Am I so insignificant
Isn't something missing
Isn't someone missing me
Even though I'm the sacrifice
You won't try for me, not now
Though I'd die to know you love me
I'm all alone
Isn't someone missing me
Please, please forgive me
But I won't be home again
I know what you do to yourself
I breathe deep and cry out
Isn't something missing
Even though I'm the sacrifice
You won't try for me, not now
Though I'd die to know you love me
I'm all alone
Isn't someone missing me?"
He laughed wickedly. How could someone sing!? But even her voice was filled with sorrow, and the will to try to stop it. Yet nothing could be done. He took a deep breath, watching her head hang, blood tickle down and land on the catwalk. This was so intriguing!
"A funny song Winter. You wish to know the truth? No one cares! If they cared, they would be here! No one loves you, and once your gone, their memory of you will be lost. You never existed....Your a fallen Goddess, and it's my turn to reign over what you had once controlled! Its MY turn to sit amongst the gods!"
