I made the final decision today to begin developing a d20 system Super Smash Brothers RP. I have my work cut out for me due to the amount of character ability development, world backdrops, item development, and oh, so much more.
This RP will likely get its own subforum if not its own guild, but for the time being, there will only be a Discussion Thread in the discussion subforum so I can get the hardcore video gamers in on my planning on what worlds get to join in the fray.
The codename I'm using for this RP is 'Conquest', as in 'Super Smash Brothers Conquest'. I use this title not only because it ties in nicely (I think) with the theme of subtitles SSB's used up to now, but also because it describes the story very, very nicely.
I'll drop a bit of story for you now. After their defeat in SSBB, the villains seek outside help in their plans of conquest. What ends up happening is that they convince villains from other worlds to help them add their worlds to the SSB world, and together conquer the lot. What they don't realize is that by doing this, they endanger the world and universe of SSB, threatening to destroy the very thing they wish to rule.
There will be item-buying. There will be PvP. There might even be levelling up if I get cocky enough to try it. But in the end, there will be Smash. And you all get to witness the ownage first-hand. twisted
However, tackling a project of this magnitude by myself will take days. Weeks. Maybe a month or two or more. There's no telling, for how can I know without trying? But because of that, I can't tell you when this game is going to be released... when it'll be ready to play. Because I don't know. The only thing I do know is that you will not be allowed to create your own characters for this. To do that would not only add to the downtime/dv, but also take away from the characters that SHOULD be involved. NO CUSTOM/MADE-UP CHARACTERS EVER!!! Just so you know.

I need to ask a favor of the crew/cap'n of this fine guild. I'm going to be using this thread to post updates on SSBC Development here. The favor is this: I humbly ask that you do not post here, so that those who read see nothing but updates. I would greatly appreciate that form of cooperation. Thank you in advance. biggrin
EDIT: Don't worry, there will be a discusion thread for you to praise/flame me in. I also ask that you please don't make a subforum for this RP while it's still in development. When it's ready to be played, I'll decide where it belongs.
