In 1967, Ford was in a deal with Hertz, the vehicle renting service. It was called the "Rent A Racer" program. Ford built a special model of their GT500 Mustang. It was called the GT500H. These cars sported a special paint jobs. It was black, with gold shelby "GT500H" stripes. Now, these cars were nothing more than a special paint, but as you car collectors and lovers out there know, that special scheme has earned this model of mustang rarity and diversity from the rest of the GT500's, as does the KR. Now, as I have recently found out, Ford and Hertz are at it again! The beautiful GT500H is being modernly reproduced. Other than the fact that it's only being made in a Convertible model, it's a great looking car that anyone would be proud to drive, and get the envy of anyone within a 10 mile radius with the turn of the key. Beautiful, Isn't it? P.S. This is Trucktuner94's new Acc.!

Oh joy, another "limited edition" Mustang. I've lost count on how many Ford has made confused
With that said, it is a nice looking Mustang, but the lack of performance upgrades kinda turns me away from it. Also I've never been big on convertible cars, but at least it's done up well. In short, nice looking car, but nothing too special.
PS: Saw a black 2009 Bullitt Mustang yesterday, my god was that a nice car biggrin

It is by no means a lack in performance. That Super Snake package, still available, all normal upgrades, still available, and, the Bullitt isn't nearly as nice or fast as this is. Yea, this is slower AND heavier because it's a convertible, but that is one bad a** car! It's a Shelby, only special edition!

Did some looking, apparently there is no GT500H, just a Shelby GT-H, and yes, a convertible version as well, but no GT500H version, which makes sense. Why build a 500 horsepower muscle car for rental when people have an easy enough time wrecking a regular V8 GT. As for for the Bullitt, I prefer it because it is simple and clean, but for some, thats not the way. I just wish Ford would offer a nice 5.4 liter V8 like they do down in Austrailia with 390 hp, so it would be just like the GT 390 Fastback as in the movie.

It's just like you'll call a 240sx a "240", or the Tureno Cobra's were just called "cobras". It's the same thing! It's just supposed to be the "cool" or "hip" way to put it! Look at the stripe on the side of a gold and black shelby, will ya? It clearly says, and is supposed to say, "GT500-H". You people are going off of some website writer saying something, look it up on the auction sites and stuff, there selling 300 of them! Go to a historical site, look for the originals, this is just a modern version. Why are you people acting like dunces?! It's simple!

And if you don't believe me, then check the official Shelby Auto, Inc site, there is no GT500H. Shelby Autos

Shelby AutosI am not talking about a "GT" and a "GT500", but a "GT-H" and a "GT500-H"! You really need to learn how to read what I have to say! I'm not pullin S***out my A** just to sound good(no, I censored myself)!

Until you can show substantial proof of your claim (offical site, reputable source, ect), then this topic is locked and staying locked.
