Since my near-photographic memory can replay almost any movie/video I've ever seen, I remembered the war scene (of Serenity Valley) from Firefly. Well, during that scene, you see the captain take out a cross necklace and kiss it. But later in the episodes he tells Shepard that God isn't welcome on his boat.
...
I think that the cap'n blames God for the loss of the war against the Alliance.

Really?!?! Wow.... you are so astute.................... yeah, you are right. He loses his faith after that battle. Not that it is a bad thing.

I saw that too, but it took me two views to put it all together. Yeah, I think that's what is supposed to be gotten from that whole thing.
