I'm doing a rail fence pattern (for the first time) and using a variety of fabrics with black background and colorful prints.

That's an older picture--I've since replaced the 2 brighter, large pattern prints with some that fit better with the others.
I've been meaning to get this started for months, but just finally today cut the pieces out. Keeping in mind mailing time, I've got...4 days to make this quilt from start to finish. Good thing I took the next few days off work! whee ;;
Step one, cutting. DONE!
Step two, lay out the pieces on the floor and make adjustments to fabric placement as neccessary. DONE!

Step three, sew strips together.
Step four, cut sewn strips into smaller blocks.
Step five, sew blocks together to form quilt top
Step six, add borders.
Step seven, baste top, batting, and back together.
Step eight, quilt.
Step nine, sew binding.
Step ten, hand sew binding closed.
WHEW! I've got a lot to do in the next few days, what am I doing wasting my time on Gaia?! gonk
