It all seems the same and yet things are so obviously different. We have caution when it comes to the darkness we live in while we despise the light. They thrive under their sun while fearing the darkness. Our women rule supreme while they have an equality between the genders. I have heard it whispered that there was a time when we were as they are. It is no secret that we once shared a home with our light skinned counterparts. Our ancestors were uprooted, though, forced to flee to the Underdark. They forced us into this place that we now seem to rule over.
We are the superiors. We can attack our Surface dwelling counterparts while they find it overly difficult to turn the tables and attack us at our homes. Though they needn't do such a thing. We attack each other on a regular basis. It's like a very intricate game. We manipulate each other, getting the pieces into the proper positions. House attacks house. Brother attacks brother. Daughter attacks mother and sister. A deadly game to see who can gain more power.
The chaos surrounds us. We create it. We thrive off it. This is what we have been bred and raised for. Chaos and power. Both so intoxicating. One must be cautious though. In all this chaos, one can easily lose their way. Or their mind.
