It's Gaia Online's 4th anniversary, and we'd like to thank everyone here for being a part of it. Since last year, we've almost doubled in size. We rolled out mini games like Word Bump and Jigsaw, plus features like the new profile system, Daily Chance, and the Quest system. We now have more than 200 servers working to keep the site running smoothly. None of this would have been possible without support of members like you. Even though we're becoming much bigger, our dedication to our members is the same.
The Gaia team had also grown a lot in size so we can build more and provide the support for members. 2006 brought an important new addition to our team: Craig, AKA fin. He brings us something we've never had before: practical knowledge of how to get things done. smile He's been helping us with a lot of the complicated details so we can concentrate on what we do best: creating art, programming, developing games, and finding new ways to have fun.
There will be a lot of exciting changes in 2007 as we work to make Gaia the most fun and creative hangout on the web, but the one thing that will never change is who we are. We're coming up with ways to make our big ideas possible without losing what makes us special, and we're counting on your feedback and comments every step of the way.
We might be working with other companies over the next year, but our goal is to find partnerships that make the site more fun. We're aiming to build cool new features like the Battle System, a mini-MMORPG which will add a new level of interaction to the site. We're also going to have more special events than ever before, so there will always be something new and fun to do!
