The small bat-demon girl stared into the depths of the black pool, wings tucked behind her. She watched as a tiny scale-less fish leapt out of the water and back into the dark depths. She licked her lips, stomach suddenly rumbling for something with meat. She continued to watch the water, waiting for something with more substance to leap up so she could finally eat a decent meal.

Werlis eyes the small bat-demon for a moment. He isn't too far from her, spending some time upon his stallion. He turns his dark, nearly black eyes to the black beast of a horse before him and starts brushing the creature again. He likes to take care og the great stallion. One never knows when such a well trained mount will come in handy.

Kami swung around, her small wings stretching out as she hissed. She hadn't felt the berserker approach her. Her eyes widened as she saw the large beast (the horse, not him, haha). She had never seen anything so... tastey....

Slowly, he lifts his head again. Those dark eyes level upon Kami in warning. He can see the hunger in her eyes and the berserker does not like it at all.

The demon slowly looked at the berserker, hissing again. She doesn't like how he doesn't like her. She pulled in her wings slightly. "You have a... nice horse there," she growled.

"Try to eat him and you will not be alive for long." It is unlike him to threaten someone so openly, but he is very protective of the stallion. The beast is of a rare breed and he refuses to loose his last living tie to his people. "You should know better by now, Kami."

The bat demon stopped and cocked her head to the side. Not many knew her name and the few who did, never called her by it. How did some berserker know it? "Know.. better?" she asked, her confusion obvious on her strangely pretty face.

Sighing softly, Werlis shakes his head. "If you have not heard the stories of me, I will not elaborate." He pats the stallion's hindquarters, sending the animal off to the stables.

She watches the stallion go, licking her lips. Off went a meal that would have lasted her a few days. "I hear of no stories. Hearing stories would mean being near people, which I am never around." The demon's wings folded neatly behind her. "What is a berserker doing in the demon kingdom?"

Werlis refuses to let his mind wander down the roads such a question leads to. The demon simply walks over to the black pool and stares into its depths for a moment. "I belong here."

Kami slunk over to him, hands tightly clenched behind her back. She knew she was no match for him nor any other demon in the kingdom. "Really now?" Her eyes glowed briefly. "What are you doing in this part of the kingdom?" There were no reason for her questions, just curiosity.

The berserker almost laughs. Almost smiles. "I think you are the first to ever care to ask questions of me. Curiosity is a strange thing, no?" He reaches out a hand, touching the black pool with his finger tips. "I wanted a little time away from my daily life here."
