In a time when adults became far more corrupt than the world could handle, a group of self-righteous scientists believed that they were told- by God- to preserve the body and minds of children in order to create a new world. These scientists created a large underground facility and a computer program that would transport the children to "another world." The scientists called the program the "Looking Glass."

With the program completed, children were abducted off of the street and taken to the facility to be put into the Looking Glass. The children were put into individual capsules in five separate rooms and their bodies were put to sleep while their brains were exposed to realistic program the scientists made. With their memories heavily suppressed, the children went into the program with only the data the scientists had programmed into the Looking Glass. The world of the children was universally known to them as "Wonderland."

Whatever occurs within Wonderland creates an effect upon the sleeping bodies of the children. Wounds normally turn into bruises on the real body, but upon death, the child's life really does end. Though the scientists are confident that no child understands that they are in a programmed world, the children in the fifth room seem to have a vague understanding of what is going on around them. While they do not remember anything about the real world they were taken out of, they have hunches that they do not belong in Wonderland and seek ways to leave the world.

Wonderland is comprised of four main kingdoms with a "dealer" within each kingdom. These dealers are considered to be law-breakers and have large bounties upon their heads. The dealers are created through the minds of the children in the fifth room while the other suits are from one of the other four rooms. The first room contains all the characters that make up the Clubs suit, the second room for those in the Heart suit, the third room for those in the Diamond suit, and the fourth room for the Spade suit. Each suit contains Royals (King, Queen, Jack, and Ace) and many Numbers (ranked from two to ten). All Royals of Wonderland are required to meet every so often in order to state the status of each of their kingdoms and create a reigning peace. They also discuss ways on how to eliminate the dealers.

Crime is not tolerated within Wonderland and the only sin that is forgivable are lies. Stealing, adultery, murder, etc are illegal and the punishment for doing any crime causes the perpetrator to be dragged to the very center of Wonderland and thrown through the Looking Glass that is located there. There are have been no cases where the card returns to Wonderland and their real body dies.

While Royals are normally excused from most crimes, treachery, murder, and adultery will cause them to be put on trial. If they are found to be guilty then they are thrown through the Looking Glass and an election is held to fill in the empty title. Though Royals are elected, they serve life terms- at least until they commit a crime.

First Room (Clubs)
The Kingdom of Clubs is ruled by a male-dominated monarchy and their god is known as "Justice." Though the people don't know it, their god is one of the scientists that created the program. Their specialty is that of security and the capture of criminals. Many of the more trouble-making citizens of Wonderland are often hunted down by this suit. All citizens in this suit have a club-shaped pin on their left cuff or sleeve. This is pin is not removable.

King
The most powerful person in the kingdom, the king creates new laws for both the kingdom and the land. The king is always a male and quite rarely associates with the Numbers. He is also the person who decides which bounties are put up from the other kingdoms.

Queen
More or less a figure head, the queen has close ties with the Kingdom of Spades and often takes care of the single temple within the Kingdom of Clubs. The queen is always female. She often takes care of the needs that are "demanded" from Justice.

Jack
The jack serves as the kingdom's captain of the guard and is in charge of all of the Numbers. This person can be male or female and answers to only the king- though they can be ordered by the king through the ace. The jack chooses which Number will be used for each task- from bounties to cleaning.

Ace [RESERVED]
The ace is the adviser to the king and normally sticks somewhat close to the ruler. This person can be a male or a female but is typically the opposite gender of the jack. The ace normally gives out orders directly from the king and pretty much holds the same amount of power as the king- though not by job description.

Numbers
Unlike the Royals, there are many people who hold the numbered ranks. Twos are typically looked down upon the most while the tens hold quite a bit of power over other numbers. They have many different kinds of jobs but hold no where near the power of any of the Royals. These characters are not up for play. Please think of them as side characters to use freely but please do not name them.

Second Room (Hearts)
The Kingdom of Hearts is ruled by a female-dominated monarchy and their god is known as "Temperance." As with the other kingdoms, their god is one of the scientists that created the program. The kingdom is famous as a kingdom of scholars and their job mainly lies in educating newcomers that are sent from their respective kingdoms. Along with educating newcomers, the hearts make careful decisions when it comes to matters of love and marriage. No marriage occurs without the blessing of the Queen of Hearts. All citizens of the suit have a necklace with a heart-shaped pendant. These necklaces cannot be removed and the actual design of the necklace varies between male and female.

King
The second most powerful figure in the suit, the king trumps all cards except for the queen. The king is always male and his main duty lies with keeping Temperance happy and directing newcomers to the Ace. Unless the queen was married to the previous king, the current king is normally wedded to the queen.

Queen
The figure head of the kingdom and considered to be the most emotional ruler in Wonderland, the queen deals with accepting and rejecting marriage requests. The queen is always female and tends to be prettier than the other queens. She can create new laws for her kingdom, but they do not apply through all of Wonderland. When she dies or is kicked from her position, her laws become null and void.

Jack [RESERVED]
The personal bodyguard of the queen, the jack is typically a female as well, but has been known to be male from time to time. When a new jack is elected, they normally spend some time in the Kingdom of Clubs in order to learn how to best protect the queen. The jack can order around the numbers and give out jobs, but typically does not associate too much with the numbers.

Ace
Though the ace's job is to advise the queen, the ace normally works with the Numbers and assigns newcomers to them. The ace is normally the opposite gender of the jack and is usually male. While they do not hold any power on their own, the words they say can cause a great impact if they add in "the king/queen said."

Numbers
Unlike the Royals, there are many people who hold the numbered ranks. Twos are typically looked down upon the most while the nines hold quite a bit of power over other numbers. They have many different kinds of jobs but hold no where near the power of any of the Royals. The only Number that holds a great deal of power and only has one person in its rank is the ten of hearts. The ten is known as the Princess and is normally trained up to be the successor of the queen- though she is not always elected as the next queen. Aside from the ten, these characters are not up for play. Please think of them as side characters to use freely but please do not name them.

Third Room (Diamonds)
The Kingdom of Diamonds is ruled by a female monarchy and their god is known as "Prudence." Their god is, of course, one of the creators of the program. The Kingdom of Diamonds are in charge of establishing the currency and mostly comprise of merchants and farmers. Aside from the Royals, many of the citizens often leave the kingdom to sell their goods to the other three kingdoms. Each citizen of this kingdom has at least one permanent ear piercing with a diamond shape to it.

King
The king is the most powerful male in the kingdom and attends to keeping the borders of the the kingdom safe from harm. He is the only king to actively come close to the borders of the kingdom on a constant basis. Though he travels through the kingdom quite a bit, he rarely communicates with the queen unless it's for business purposes.

Queen
Ruler of the kingdom and the most powerful female figure in the kingdom, the queen regulates what's going in and out of the country and helps to maintain the treaties between the different countries. Aside from regulation meetings, the queen often visits the Kingdom of Hearts.

Jack
Bodyguard to the queen, the jack is normally trained by the Kingdom of Spades. Other than protecting the queen, the jack serves no other purpose. The jack often falls for either the king or queen and is quite loyal. If the one they love is to be thrown into the Looking Glass, they quite often go with them.

Ace
The head priest for the temple that houses Prudence. The ace is heavily connected to the Kingdom of Spades and sends missionaries from the temple to the kingdom for training. Like other aces, the ace of diamonds is normally the opposite gender of the jack.

Numbers
Unlike the Royals, there are many people who hold the numbered ranks. Twos are typically looked down upon the most while the tens hold quite a bit of power over other numbers. They have many different kinds of jobs but hold no where near the power of any of the Royals. These characters are not up for play. Please think of them as side characters to use freely but please do not name them.

Fourth Room (Spades)
The Kingdom of Spades is a male monarchy with the god "Faith"- a scientist- ruling over the citizens. The kingdom is the center of the religion that presides over Wonderland- which makes them the most powerful kingdom in Wonderland. No matter the occasion in Wonderland, there is always someone from the Kingdom of Spades watching over it. Anyone who is thrown into the Looking Glass or becomes married always has one of the Royals to overlook the ceremony. All those who die within Wonderland are handed over to the spades, who perform special rites and rituals in secret.

King
The most powerful person- as well as male- in Wonderland, the king of spades takes care of burial rituals and is normally one of the representatives when someone is thrown into the Looking Glass. His job is also to travel to the Kingdom of Clubs if any of the laws they have laid down break "cardinal laws" of the religion and forces them to take them down. While this duty usually helps to keep Wonderland balanced, there have been multiple times where this has corrupted the king and he was sent to the Looking Glass.

Queen
Possibly the least seen person in all of Wonderland, the queen of spades resides within the temple that houses all four gods and is constantly taking care of them. As with all queens, she is female. Though others- aside from the Royals of the Kingdom of Spades- do not know it, the queen is also charged with the up keep of the Looking Glass.

Jack
Unlike the jacks from other kingdoms, the jack of spades serves as a cleric. This position has only had one person, a reclusive girl by the name of Aliza. Her ability to heal wounds that no one else can makes her an invaluable person for Wonderland. Aside from her healing ability, she is charged with binding two people to each other in holy matrimony.

Ace
The ace of spades has one purpose and one purpose alone: to protect the jack of spades with his or her life. Many people do not wish to kill the jack of spades, but many wish to kidnap the jack and use her for their own purposes. The ace of spades is the only person in the Kingdom of Spades that is allowed to kill without being charged with murder and the only person in all of Wonderland allowed to kill those without a bounty.

Numbers
Unlike the Royals, there are many people who hold the numbered ranks. Twos are typically looked down upon the most while the tens hold quite a bit of power over other numbers. They have many different kinds of jobs but hold no where near the power of any of the Royals. These characters are not up for play. Fifth Room (Dealer)
There were only four children put into the fifth room to fill in a overall bug in the programming. A lot of the memory suppression would not work unless these four children were put into this room. If one of them are killed off, they are immediately replaced with someone else. In order to prevent the children from being killed off easily, the scientists took children they knew would have a huge survival rate- normally being famous children that were often targeted in the real world. These four children are somewhat aware that they are not supposed to be in Wonderland and are constantly stirring up trouble in order to find a way out. While each kingdom is said to have a dealer within the kingdom, these four often move about constantly and are bound by neither kingdom nor god.
BECAUSE THE DEALERS ARE LIMITED TO ONLY 4, ROLEPLAYERS WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO PLAY ONE DEALER. IT IS BASED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.

Black Joker [RESERVED]
A male that seems to head all of the Dealers, the Black Joker is said to create strife within the Kingdom of Spades. Though he does not have a rivalry with the White Joker, the two seem to have somewhat conflicting personalities. A very strong opponent in general, he seeks to destroy the religion that is spread across Wonderland.

White Joker
A male that would prefer to lead the Dealers, the White Joker causes strife within the Kingdom of Diamonds and is said to be a master of disguise. Most people come across this Dealer without ever knowing it. The White Joker is also the only Dealer to also hold a position as a Royal.

Cheshire Cat
The boon of the Kingdom of Hearts' world, the Cheshire Cat is a mischievous male that is constantly creating trouble for everyone- not just the Kingdom of Hearts. He is incredibly smart but somewhat anti-social, often siding with the Black Joker and hating the Black Rabbit. Despite constantly getting in trouble, the Cheshire Cat is able to make pieces of him disappear completely, making him a pain to capture. Wonderland has marked the Cheshire Cat with the highest bounty out of the four Dealers. The Cheshire Cat is distinctly marked by his cat-like ears and the occasional cat-like tail.

Black Rabbit [RESERVED]
A female that is said to be the curse of the Kingdom of Clubs, the Black Rabbit is considered to be the most tricky of the dealers. She can get herself out of the trouble she often finds herself in. She is considered to be the arch rival of the Cheshire Cat and the two dislike each other rather passionately. The Black Rabbit is easily identified with her long black rabbit ears that sit atop her head.
