The Woods throughout the campus of Mahora. Seclusion can be found her for whatever purpose, though it may still feel rather... open.
It is still possible to be discovered, however unlikely.

Regan watches behind her as she runs into the woods, watching the ground under her as she snow melts as it hits the ground, which is still warm. She wasn't leaving tracks, yet. She'd have to hurry up, though... She rushes forward through the trees, her sword on her belt as she watches behind her and around her, making sure she isn't seen. When she's past the tree line, she relaxes for a moment before re-raising her guard... still must be careful.

When, at last, she's satisfied with how deep into the woods she is, she stops and unsheathes her sword, holding it in front of her in a ready stance before beginning to practice strikes, to start, get her blood going, before she starts practicing the secrets...

Regan, after a while of practicing her combos and individual strikes, takes a deep breath, focusing inwardly and drawing from within herself... power... The reason she's been able to master this part so easily is because her father seemed to have passed it on to her and her twin brother, Baha, and he was able to teach them just how to tap their inner power... their fighting spirit. It builds, though she is careful to contain it... as unlikely as it is (in her mind, anyway), someone might sense it. It's actually much more likely than she'd think, here at Mahora. But that's beside the point.

Regan contains her Ki, as some might call it, as best she can, before focusing it into her sword an holding it straight up in front of her, her perspective viewing the broad of the blade, though her eyes are closed. "Hiryuu Technique... Deadly Cross..." Her eyes shoot open as she turns the blade in her grip 90 degrees, making a vertical cut through the air and then a horizontal slice, both leaving a trail behind them to make a cross. She thrusts her left palm, as he holds her sword in her right hand, into the cross, causing it to thrust forward into a nearby tree, leaving a cross mark, looking as though it was cut into the tree... barely. "Damn..."

And so she trains in the cold.

[Coming from the academy, slowly traversing through the woods]

"Science may set limits to knowledge,"

'Cold, cold, cold! My calculations didn't predict it to get this cold today!' Satomi was smart enough to have brought her jacket with her that she left in the Robotics Club the other day, but even with it, she still could feel the stinging sensation of the snow flakes that fell to the ground really get to her. The jacket she was wearing was a simple, long and thick coat that looked several sizes too big for her, and although it kept her upper body warm along with her hood of it up, her bare legs could still feel quite a chill. That was fine though, it helped her stay more aware. Normally when she went out for a walk like this to think things over, she would end up day dreaming or getting so worked up about a theory or hypothesis that when she was finally done thinking about it, she would find herself somewhere far off from the academy, not even recalling how she got here. Heh... maybe they were right, she should join the Walking Club.

all that aside though, she couldn't help but thinking about Xenon after the tests she ran while sneaking into the Robotics Club. There were just so many mysteries to solve about her, and since Satomi couldn't find any answers, it drove her nuts. Everything could be answered by science, so why couldn't she understand Xenon?? That was the very reason she was taking this walk through the woods, away from the academy; so she could think things over and maybe come up with an answer.

But she could have sworn she heard something as she got deeper into the woods, failing to realize just haw far she had gone by now. No... she didn't just hear something, more like... someone. She thought she heard what sounded like combat, or was she just imagining things? Quickly, Satomi took cover behind the closest tree, her small body hiding behind it quite well. Unzipping her winter coat for a moment, her lab coat still underneath, she searched through one of it's many pockets that held all sorts of gadgets, finding a small pair of binoculars on her third pocket down from the right. It was almost scary how much she put into that coat... Looking through the binoculars which were digital and adjusted automatically, she could see someone fighting. No... training, she was training with her sword. Odd, not many people did that nowadays. But with a rising curiosity, Satomi watched, keeping herself off in the distance and trying to remain hidden.

"But should not set limits to imagination."

[Cassandra walks into the woods from Mahora Library, dressed in a rather expensive new suit]

'Aah... The woods... So much wildlife... Perfect for slicing the crap out of.' A twisted smile crept it's way across the ten-year-old's face as she looked around. Ideally, she'd like to find a week-or-so old dead bear, but a little either way wouldn't really make much of a difference. She spotted a dead squirrel out of the corner of her eye, picking it up. Sure it had an leg or two missing, but that sort of thing is easily fixed when you're as well-practiced as her.

Grinning at her find, she turned around, about to pull out her needle and thread, but froze as she saw, about fifty feet away, a girl with binoculars. Luckily for Cassandra, the girl didn't seem to have noticed her yet. Which was fortunate - It wouldn't have been easy for to convince the girl that there was a good reason she'd picked up a dead, mutilated squirrel. Carefully, she slipped the squirrel into her trouser pocket. Fortunately, the pockets were lined, and the squirrel had long since stopped actually bleeding, and it was still flexible enough to bend it into a loop that didn't show too much.

Now was the tricky part. She didn't want to get caught. She could try to sneak out unnoticed, but she decided to go for a preemptive strike, as it were. She walked over to Satomi, tugging on her coat, putting on the cutest face she could manage - which was pretty damn cute for a vampire that spends most of her time stitching together pieces of living flesh. "What'cha lookin' at?"

'Interesting...' Finally catching site of the person who was training, Satomi failed to recognize who it was. The person seemed to be the same age as her, so surely she was a student here. She wasn't in uniform though, and the fact that she was this far deep in the woods was a bit odd, even suspicious. None the less, observing was always an important step in a scientific process, and she kept herself silent, watching the teenage girl in training through her binoculars, zooming in a bit as she tried to take in any details.

"Waaah!" Suddenly in a panic and her heart skipping a beat, she was taken completely by surprise when someone tugged at her coat and spoke, and Satomi leapt back, turning around, her back facing the tree as she was up against it. She accidentally screamed aloud for a moment too, her outburst surely being loud enough for Regan to hear as well. Placing her hand against her chest where her heart was, she felt it beating from being surprised like that, but she managed to calm herself pretty quickly when she saw it was just a little girl. Oh... wait a second, wasn't that girl the one from class earlier today? Just before Satomi had actually entered the classroom actually, she was the one who was leaving. Odd, what was she doing here?

"I-I'm.. bird watching." Her voice still slightly nervous as her heart was still racing from being startled like that, Satomi gave a blunt lie, not wanting to admit she was spying on someone as she looked down at the girl, able to give a modest smile as she looked down at her. "I should be asking you what you're doing here. You know you'll catch a cold and ruin you're outfit wearing just that in this cold weather." Her voice taking a very kind tone, Satomi talked sweetly to Cassandra simply for the fact that she was a kid, and a cute one at that. She really had no idea just who this 'little girl' really was...

Somehow, she's managed to remain uncovered from snowflakes, except the very end of her pony tail. Her clothes and head and all, other than that, are rather warm, from the energy she spends training. The girl takes another deep breath, focusing her energies once more into her blade. She focuses more intently this time, more energy into her blade. "Deadly Cro-"

Regan gasps and moves her sword to a ready position at her side as she hears the wail, turning in it's direction and giving what would effectively be a growl. "Who's there?!" She demands loudly, having not expected to be found this deep int the woods. Then she starts to move forward, carefully, keeping an eye out for anything or anyone that might jump out at her, her ears listening to her surroundings carefully.

Her eyes fall across Cassandra but she deems her too small to have produced the scream she had heard. She narrows her eyes a bit at the girl, examining her before she continues with her objective: finding who was watching her and dealing with them in accordance with how much they saw...

Cassandra maintained her cute smile. She hadn't been fooled at all by Satomi's lie, but she didn't want to break her little role yet. Pretending to be innocent was fun, especially the look on their face when you pull out the needle and stab them in the eye with it. Priceless. "Ah, I can get anuvver one if it gets mucky." Which wasn't a lie at all. She could've bought the whole shop, but it wouldn't have fit her at all. Although maybe she should've got some for her zombies... Meh, zombies don't have shame.

However, Cassandra was still curious as to what exactly this girl was looking at. She looked around, taking a deep sniff, pretending to have a runny nose. 'Flesh... Human, probably... Maybe... Female?' Cassandra was glad she'd stitched herself a new nose back in 1928. She looked up at Satomi and tilted her head. "Is there someone else here?"

What a strange little girl she was... Satomi only gained a hunch that there was something wrong when it had something to relative to science, so even though Cassandra was not who she pretended to be, Satomi completely bought her act, and thought of her to be just as she appeared; a small ten year old girl who had a sense of fashion and a timid curiosity. "...Yea... someone's there." Satomi said quietly, sweatdropping a little when she realized that Cassandra had given away her location.

Well, it's not like Satomi was really doing anything wrong. The woods didn't belong to this teenage girl, and she just happened to have found her by accident, so there shouldn't have been a problem. Still, just for safety precautious, she placed her hand into her coat pocket once again. She didn't take anything out just yet, but she had her hand gripped upon one of her favorite little gadgets; the 'Delta Jammer 6.4'. It was originally intended for putting androids and robots to a dead halt with an electric jolt, like Xenon had experienced earlier today, but the tuning fork shaped gadget could also serve as a powerful tazer if she needed to use it.

Of course, she didn't want to fight, not at all. She just wanted to be extra careful. So, with one hand in her pocket, the other at her side, Satomi stepped out from behind the tree, blinking a few times, slightly confused over the teenagers demands and why she was so threatening about it. "I'm a student from class 2-A. You don't have to worry." She said calmly, raising her voice just loud enough so she could hear her voice from the distance they were at. Satomi looked over towards the little girl though as well, wondering just what she had to do with all of this and why she was here too. Didn't she see this wasn't something she should get involved in?

Regan frowns softly and narrows her eyes a bit before putting her sword away. She approaches still, however. "How much did you see?" She looks at the girl again... there was something odd about her, and it becomes more apparent as she gets closer... What was it? She that feeling in her gut again, and looks up at Satomi, her frown gone away. The kid was too young to give her a ping, so that left Satomi... However, she doesn't know how Sil would react, so she leave it at that. Still, something was off about the kid... she looks at Cassandra again, tilting her head a bit before shaking her head. It was gonna bug her, but she'd have to put it off until she'd dealt with her classmate in an appropriate manner.

"... Perhaps I should be more polite. I'm Regan Hiryuu, class 2-A. I was... late this morning. But... again... how much did you see of my training?"

Cassandra looks towards Regan - more specifically, at her sword. Still keeping her cute, wide-eyed look on her face tilted her head. "Training?" 'Must have had something to do with that sword... Since when did you go around with a sword? I mean, it's hardly inconspicuous..." She had a very, very vague recollection of Regan. Had she been in class? Maybe she was there when I was drunk...? She shook away the feelings. If she tried to think too hard about it, she'd blow her 'cute' cover. However, she couldn't be too careful with a sword-wielder nearby. She put a hand in her pocket, her fingers curling around her needle.

That's better. At least now she didn't feel as cautious and afraid of this girl as she did a moment ago. Not to mention she did say she was a part of 2-A as well, which Satomi assumed she must have missed since she arrived quite late as well.

Her hand leaving from her pocket, since the girl had sheathed her sword, Satomi felt there was no need to be taking a hold of her tazer like she was, and she tried to keep the situation to something less... well, dangerous. "Oh, nothing really. I only just got here a minute ago." She said, being perfectly honest really. She didn't get to catch her last attack, and was only able to focus her binoculars before when Cassandra interrupted. "This girl gave me quite a spook really, I was only taking a moment to rest when, well, you heard me, and that's that." She said with a calm smile as she walked towards Regan, trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. She didn't have anything to hide, but from the looks of things, this girl didn't trust her, and the last thing she wanted was a fight, because there was no way Ku Fei would come to save her this time.

"Good..." Regan nods, also noting the hand leaving her pocket. They were both relaxing... best to avoid conflict, since this girl didn't seem to have seen anything. "Where was the teacher this morning, do you know?" Regan tilts her head gently to the side, her left hand resting on the hilt of her sword idly, which is on her left hip. Not about to draw it, just a convenient place to put her hand.

She looks again at Cassandra, staring... something... familiar... And then it hits her, as if cued by Cassandra's thoughts. "You're that drunk girl!" She proclaims, pointing. Well, no other way to put it, really.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 02, 2008 11:49 am

's**t. Rumbled.' Cassandra was annoyed that Regan had recognized her, but didn't show it. She just kept a very confused, wide-eyed look on her face as she tilted her head and looked up at Satomi. "What's 'drunk?'" She noticed out of the corner of her eye how close to her sword Regan's hand was. She grabbed the end of the spool of thread in her pocket, threading it into the needle. Not for healing purposes - if Regan attacked, she intended to sew her eyes shut. But she didn't think the girl would be stupid enough to attack with another person there.

Oh right, the teacher! Now that she thought about it, as much as she wanted to do some research about Xenon, she was awfully curious about the teacher. Negi was only ten years old after all, and this fact alone really did put Satomi in confusion. If this girl was wondering where he was, then maybe she should go look to, after all, she had a lot of questions to ask him anyway.

That brought her to another question since age was thrown into the mix, this girl was no older than Negi, and yet she could have sworn this girl was the one she heard yelling and leaving the classroom earlier this afternoon. She seemed different though, very different from the girl who was yelling before. Maybe she was her sister? No, it was too coincidental, and she didn't believe in coincidences.

Before she could mention anything about Negi, perhaps considering that she and this girl could go look for the teacher, Satomi was thrown into an even deeper confusion at the teenage girl's accusation. "...Drunk?" She repeated, slowly turning to look at Cassandra who still had that innocent look in her eyes. "I'll explain that later, okay sweety?" She said with that same kinder tone since she was talkig to just a child. But that quickly faded to a more serious and factual statement as she turned back towards the teenage girl. "You do realize what you're saying is phsyically impossible. A person of that size would be unable to consume any intake of an alcoholic substance without getting ill and bed-ridden." Talking a bit technical, Satomi adjusted her glasses, knowing she was right in this statement since the girl was far too small and young for such a thing.

Then again, she could have sworn she was able to just barely pick up the faint scent of alcohol...
