"Would you like anything else sir?" the small faun asked, setting down a small cup of tea. "No, thank you though," a boy's voice answered, looking down at the tea. He had been sitting in here for the longest time, King Edmund that is. There wasn't anything to do anymore. Calormene wasn't invading, and he knew Archenland wasn't going to. Sitting down on his bed, Edmund put his face in his hands, his brown hair falling on either side. Nobody had even come and talked to him. He though at least Alex would, but no, she didn't even come. He shook his head, brown eyes looking up as he stood and walked over to his tea, taking a sip.

Sara walks into Edmunds room and smiles at him. "What's up Ed? Something the matter?"

Susan barged in without being too rude but still manged to get her mood out. "Edmund, we need to talk." Susan looked at Sara and nodded at her to begin.
Susan wasn't ready to look at her brother after telling him these grave news, but her duties to Narnia was to keep all Narnians safe. Sadly, this was the only way.

"Edmund.... Jadis has returned." Sara had to fight back tears when she said this. She now felt horrible after remembering those times when she had indeed helped Jadis.

Edmund jumped, hearing somebody barge in. He turned, seeing Sara. "Sara? What's.." he was interrupted with his sister coming in also. "What is going on?" he asked, looking at the two frantic faces. Then, it came. The news hit him like a stab in the stomach. "No," he urgently whispered, putting his cup down and grabbing his sheath. "How did this happen?" He but the belt around his waist and fastened it, positioning his sword at his side.

"What is all this noise?" a girl's voice asked, walking into her best friend's chamber. She looked at the inhabitants of the room and made a face. "Should have known. Females," she said, walking over to Edmund, noticing his face. "What is going on?" Alexandra wasn't the one for messing around, well, yes she was, but not when it wasn't needed.

"Alexandra ...." Sara breathed in, attempting to hide the pain in saying the words for a second time. "The White Witch has returned."

Alex's eyes grew wide as she heard the news. "No. You're lying to me, just to get me mad at you. You're playing a trick on me. Jadis is NOT back." She turned to Edmund, who gave her a horrified look. "Why would they play about that?" he asked, a horrible feeling in him. "Do you know how?" Alex whispered. Her worst nightmares had just come true.
