Sarafina paced heavily through the snow near the lantern quietly. Glancing around her shifty forelock fell in her face, she shook her head slightly looking up at the lantern, remaining quiet. If anyone were to see her they'd think of her as maybe just a large palomino mare; if she stayed silent. She snorted slightly, breathing out cold winter air and continued on her path.

A loud explosion boomed from the sky.
Amidst the puffy smoke appeared a young girl with her plushie companion looking forlorn and frantic.
Velox looked around and stuttered "Where am I now?"

Looking up at the sudden explosion she hid as well as she could between some trees and lowered her head looking at the girl and her companion. She cocked her head and stepped out slightly, her head still lowered and looked at them curiously. "Lantern Waste." she spoke simply and raised her head slightly. Stepping further onto the path and stood at her full height staring at the girl calmly. She made sure not to give off an offensive aura, and just watched the girl curiously.

Velox relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh."
The star grinned at the creature and held out her plushie companion, Maya.
"What do you know about the Witch?"

Sarafina looked a bit curious. "The White Witch? Is she back?!" Sarafina asked suddenly a bit jittery at the thought of it. "I know nothing of her, except she's not the best person in the world, and she caused winter. I've heard the stories of the past..." she said quietly.

"You shouldnt believe everything you hear" Velox replied with a stern face.
"I'm sure if you were at a different side at a different time, you would have a better impression"
The star shook her bells and a flurry of snowflakes danced around magestically in the air.

"I only will care if she were to come back and to take Narnia again." She said stubbornly and raised her head. "Either way, why do you ask if I've heard of the witch?" she asked looking at the star and back at Velox.

"Curiosity may have killed the cat but it did not frighten the star" Velox said mischievously.
"Isnt that right Maya?" She asked her plushie.
The inanimate object stood still and said nothing.
Velox laughed and said "See Maya agrees with me. I was just wondering. No harm, no foul."

"I was at Owlwood" Velox explained. "But then the creatures there started asking too many questions and got annoying. "
"I dont like being interrogated." She said defiantly. "Sorry for my rudeness, I'm Velox. What's your name? What are you doing out here? Is there anything sparkly I can play with?"

"Sarafina, some people call me Fina..." she said calmly and shook her head a bit, "As for why I'm here, I live here. Well, in this general area. Here and all about the area. A few other mares and I patrol just to keep things safe." she said calmly. "And something sparkly...well there's some mika in the rocks just north of here..." she said calmly, "That's the shiniest thing you'll find in the forest I believe, besides water." she said and chuckled.

"So you keep things safe" Velox lowered her head and added "It must be nice....to have a group of friends to protect with"
She smirked suddenly and said "Rocks and water wont do. What if I play with you instead?"
The star put on a pleading face similar to that of a puppy dog.

Velox flailed her arms excitedly "Oh goodie! I get to meet another friend!"
The star picked up her belongings and waited to jet off.
