Sir's Fantasy
Up on a hill, set back from the neighborhood is a house where a little old lady lives. All of the children from the neighborhood know not to bother her because she is so mean. If their toys end up in her yard, they don't touch them because she will run out at them with a broom. What the children don't know is after she chases them away she goes inside and says, "Sir, they are gone now, we don't have to worry."
Sir doesn't worry. He just doesn't care. Whenever the little old lady says this though, sir will lift his head slightly and purr at the little old lady. She will come over and pet her cat, go back on her rocker, and continue her quilting. While he watches the old lady quilt, Sir remembers his life. He remembers all the people he met and all the stories he heard.
