Fire Elv is named for the four rivers in the area. The Verden River, The Vann River, The Varme River, and The Vind River. All rivers are named after a nation in their native tongue. A very fertile valley, it is also used for farming. Mostly rice fields are here, but there are also corn and potato farms here. There aren't many houses, and if any, one to two houses on each property.

Khthonia lay hidden in the tall grass, just left of the last line of corn fields, her satchel and cloak to her right, her long bow and quiver next to it. It was times like these that made her feel like she was the only one left in the world, that there was finally peace in her life. A cool wind blew over, making the grass sing. Open your eyes. No. Why not? Because it will become cold and lifeless if I do. And if it does? It will do so with or without your interference. Open your eyes. I... can't. You can. Just do it. Do not think, just do. Khthonia sighed. The arguement inside her head could go on forever. And she would let it if it weren't for her mission. 'Find land' they had said. An easy enough feat to conquer, she thought. Until she actually got out and realized how little there was left. Sitting up, she opened her eyes, breathing in the natural smell the earth offered. One thing she couldn't deny was how beautiful it was; how natural it was. She looked around her and sighed, gathering her things. Time to get moving.

He was traveling further inland now and the wind was picking up. The rather flat river valley made a bad place to stay during a storm; Rick knew he and Ghost would have to find a place to stay soon. The tilled fields along the side of the overgrown dirt path looked promising. On the other side was a trickling stream, which the two travelers kept a safe distance from. It no doubt flowed into one of the larger rivers further down the road. Clouds were gathering. Rick flinched uncomfortably."Oh, don't tell me you're afraid of water now," Ghost trilled, leading the way, weaving around tiny holes and patches of grass in his way with calculated steps. "It's not a recent thing," Rick replied, shoes shuffling over Ghost's tiny footprints, "I have Hydrophobia. I've always been afraid of water." Rick stared into the sky. Well that was ironic. "Hey, who do you suppose that is?" Without warning, Ghost ducked off the path and into the grass. "What—Ghost—" Rick stopped short, pausing to think. He didn't see anything, but then again Ghost always noticed things that most wouldn't see. This came from scents. Realizing this, Rick tried for himself, taking a gentle sniff of the fresh air. He quickly noticed that the wind was blowing in their direction, carrying any smells towards them; however, his dull human nose could detect little else, and Rick still could not control his transformations. Cautiously he ventured out into the grass after his feline companion. Meanwhile, Ghost had found a new friend. "Hello there!" the cat meowed a greeting, his black tail rising above the grass to show his friendliness, "It's a pleasure to meet you!" He sat down just short of the girl, purring gently. He hoped she liked cats.

Khthonia jumped slighlty at the sound of a mewing-- she hadnt heard anyone approaching. Way to be listening to your surrondings. She scolded herself. The black cat purred softly, surprising her. Most animals knew to stay away; either that or she just wasn't interesting enough to be approached. Well, there had to be some interesting quality about her if this one beast approached her. She blinked rapidly, slowly standing up, her cloak in her ams, willing her... curse not to come out and harm this animal. Unsure of what to do, she slowly bent down to grab her bag, swinging it over one shoulder, careful not to make any sudden movements. Maybe it was hungry and lost? But she didn't have any food or comfort to offer it, nor the time to look for it. Sure of her decision now, Khthonia straightened up, taking a step back. Never turn your back on a beast. It was something her brother always told her, something she know lived by. "Sorry, dear... cat... but I must be going now. I have nothing for you." With a nod of her head, she looked down at the cat, willing herself to leave before something terrible happened. Hesitantly, she took another step back, adjusting her bag on her shoulder. Was it right to leave the cat alone where worse things than Khthonia ran?

Hrothgar stumbled into the deep rice fields of Fire Elv. He looked around the quiet area before making his way to the dirt path. He started walking along the path looking around as he traveled. Houses were here and there but they were quite separated, almost floating on a sea of grass. Light was beginning to emerge from the windows, which wasn't much of a replacement for the light leaving the sky. "I don't want to jinx it, but this war process is really slow. I've heard of a few skirmishes here and there but..." He turned to Face Obsidion, who had been quietly following in his wake as usual and stopped when he did. "Well, I'm beginning to think certain figureheads of royalty may actually be an obstruction. Gonna have to do something about that. It won't be easy though."

Mayura waded through the thick grass of the area. Though it wasn't the humid subtropical region she was used to, she somehow felt at home. The only thing that was so awkward was the endless expanse of twilight and the general lack of tall trees around. As she made her way to the path she found herself approaching two figures, it didn't occur to her just how massive they were untill she was fairly close. She was a bit awestruck as she came to a stop no more than fifteen feet away. The statuesque golem looked all too much like the one from Omgitt Jord, untill she was close enough to see the giant's weapons, she wouldn't have recognized him otherwise.

Hrothgar looked over, noticing an elven ranger standing nearby. He turned a bit to face it. Obsidion followed suit. Hrothgar's expression changed to a bit disturbed, though he was fairly used to stares at this point. "Something bugging you?", he grunted, folding his arms.

Mayura was a bit taken back by the giant's sudden hostility. She didn't think she had done anything particularly rude so she figured to try a reasonable greeting. "Not at all, you were there durring the invasion in Omgitt Jord. I want you to know that her majesty is grateful for your efforts." She stated, giving a half bow of thanks with her hands clasped together. "May I ask your name, sir?"

Hrothgar raised an eyebrow, he wasn't particularly interested in the current situation or in bringing up what happened yesterday. He looked over to his left first before answering the question, "You first." Obsidion sat down on the ground. It looked back toward where the two of them had just come from.

Mayura managed to swallow any outward hint at her becomming insensed at the giant's demeanor, save for a deep breath. "I am Duchess Mayura Kiryu, emessary of Separated Seg." Though it was becoming difficult to keep this up, she could still practically hear the official announcement trumpeting.

"Oh I see..." Hrothgar nodded as he said this. He scooped a rolled up paper from his pocket and marched up to Mayura, handing it to her in the process. "Here. Tell her highness that she currently controls the entire western coast. Also... tell her not to mess it up." Obsidion stood up and followed Hrothgar as he began to walk past Mayura. "The name's Slaterage.", he projected a bit back as he continued walking. He took a nearby fork pointing toward Noytral Klar.

Mayura unrolled the parchment and read it, "Is this a cession? Hillocks of Olynthis?!" She glanced back at the giant as he started to get farther and farther away. She clenched her fist and stomped the ground, somewhat losing her composure. "That insolent brute! He has no manners at all, and he dared to berate our princess too?!" Rolling up the parchment and putting it away, Mayura scowled in Count Slaterage's driection one last time, then started walking.
As she traveled the street, she did a long low bird call. A small homing pigeon descended to her arm as she held it out. She passed it a small note and released it to the skies, not stopping to watch it fly due east. Her mind was still affixed to the parchment given to her by the giant. She wanted to get a good look at it and have it notorized before she did anything else.

Kujaku reached the outskirts of Fire Elv, looking around as he ran to inspect the area for the insane flame spreading man from earlier. It looked to be quiet and clear. Kujaku managed to beat the man here, but he was winded. There was precious little time for a break, Kujaku immediately placed his totems in the ground and prepared a defensive line by himself. As his breathing became less fatigued he waited calmly. He knew he had but one chance.

Mayura saw little choice but to return to the refugee camp. It was the last place she could remember any of the royal court being. She had started on her way back east toward the farming center when she noticed a rather large hairy figure not too far away. As she cleared from the tall grass and got a good look, she recognized it as the large ogre man from the fight in Omgitt. She quietly approached, wondering what he was doing with his totems all standing in a row like that and his weapon at the ready.

Kujaku tilted his head back noticing a particularly close person amongst all the steps he tracked since he placed his first totem. It looked to be the elf from Kraftig. He didn't put any more thought into it and instead maintained focus on what was to come.
