Hello, everyone. I joined this guild for the sole purpose of playing Dungeons and Dragons using Gaia's dice system. And since there seem to be no current DnD games going on in this guild, I intend to DM my own world. Here are the credentials intended.
Reference Books Used: Player's Handbook v3.5 Player's Handbook II Dungeon Master's Guide v3.5 Dungeon Master's Guide II <NEW> Monster's Manual v3.5 Complete Mage Spell Compendium Epic Level Handbook
I own every one of these books IRL, which is why I allow them. If you do not have access to any of these books, you should be able to access any information you need at this site: http:/www.d20srd.org/
All races and classes found in these two Player's Handbooks are allowed. Special races shall be taken under consideration privately via PM. I also have created the Moogle race for the world I plan to use. If you are interested in making a Moogle character to play with, PM me for details.
If anyone is interested in playing v3.5 Dungeons and Dragons here, please feel free to either post here or send me a PM. Once I have at least three players, I will begin a thread (hopefully in the DnD subforum) for the game.
(Stickied by Kio Liengod) ~+Unstickied by TLG because the Game itself needs to be at the tip-top of the thread.+~ 3nodding

Okay, before I post an example of my Character Creation System (CCS), I'd like to point out that I am using my "Master's Set" to determine abilities. The set is as follows:
18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 12
Please allocate these six numbers to each attribute when posting characters. Also, remember that each player starts with a weapon of their choice (simple or martial, no exotic) and 500 GF (gold florins, the currency used in Pariyl. Don't worry, florins work exactly like pieces, just with a cooler sounding name), as well as the standard adventurer's kit. Yes, this means no starting armor. The standard adventurer's kit is in the PH2, or in www.d20srd.org You can also get class-specific tools, but whatever tools you get subtract from your starting gold. Lastly, spells will be handled by PM.
EDIT: On second thought, I will allow your character to start with a suit of armor, but only light/medium armors. If you want heavy armor, you will have to buy it. :p
Here's how to post characters. One of the NPCs you'll find along the way is being used as an example.
EDIT: Bios/Backstories/wtfe are thoroughly encouraged. The only reason I didn't post one for Alex here is because you're not supposed to have that info when you first meet him. :p

Because I'm an idiot who refuses to think things through [/joke], I didn't think it'd be useful to post the history of the world you people will be playing in. Allow me to rectify that grievous error right now. TerashiLeonGoken The Holy Kingdom of Pariyl does not reside in the Material Plane, but instead exists in a demplane coexistant with the Material Plane. This plane is known as the Demiplane of Ordeal. However, the balance that keeps these two planes separate is unstable. Therefore, rifts open randomly, trading matter between the two planes. The first of these rifts introduced dragonkind to the demiplane. The colors of dragonkind that visited were balance with one exception: black dragons. Because of the vast number of these creatures, the oceans that the single continent in the demiplane rested upon became corrupted, and unable to support life. Because of this, the top mages in the nation converged together and agreed that the best course of action would be to lift the earth above the rotten ocean. Magical technology was formed and reformed until this was possible, but the process ripped up the land, turning one continent into many floating islands. Thanks to the continued research into magical technology, airships were devised and created, allowing free travel to all the pieces of the continent. Each floating island is now referred to as a territory, but all still follow the rule of the Holy Kingdom of Pariyl.

Well...school causes me to be sort of MIA. I usually just mess around on Gaia when there's breaks, so my appearances come in spurts. It's summer now though, so my appearances will undoubtedly be more frequent. We should resume that Cyberpunk game later as well--it was pretty bitchin'.

Unfortunately, I only have DM'd or played D&D a dozen times or so, thus I'm probably far below your caliber. I'm actually looking forward to experience some real D&D DM'ing in action. If you look in the Dice Games section you'll see games I run are usually off of my own systems I've created--which tend to be much less complex. A full-fledged D&D campaign sounds uber-legit though. As for my character, I'll probably make him tonight or tomorrow. Also, were you planning on using that NPC in the main party? Because I was thinking of using a moogle wizard as well. Maybe I'll opt for a cleric instead.

I don't put NPCs in the main party. Doing so takes the fun and the experience points away from the players, and that's never good. I'm happy to see someone take interest in the moogle race, and I'll be sure to help you with it.
Well, we have a Rogue and a Wizard! One more character and we can begin!!! biggrin mrgreen
