You can make reservations exactly 180 days before your trip, and many places will reserve fast so i suggest doing it as early as possible.
My two suggestions go to Chef Mickeys at the contemperary resort, and Le celier in the Canada pavillion at Epcot.

I like 'Ohana at the Polynesian, and the Cape May Cafe Clam Bake at the Beach Club. Those two are my favorites. biggrin The Coral Reef in Epcot is also supposed to be really good (my parents ate there once and loved it). And Red's right - reservations fill up fast, so call as soon as you can. Good luck! blaugh
Speaking of which, my family and I just made our WDW reservations for this August! I think we may try one of the Japanese restaurants in EPCOT this year, because I've always wanted to eat there. Anyone ever eaten there?

Trust me, Le Celier is superb.
And, Lady Haruke, remember, it's Kent here, Red everywhere else.

Just wondering, has anyone here ever been on the Disney cruise? I'm going in August, and sticking to the food pattern of this thread, I was wondering what people thought of the restaurants.

I was just there last August and I had the Disney Plan so I know just what you are going through.
I definately recommend the Coral Reef. I ate there and it was great. I don't even like seafood. I got something non-seafood and I loved it. My dad and my younger brother got seafood and they loved theirs (My brother got mahi-mahi) I forget what my Dad got specifically.
Check out the Polynesian Resort Resturants. I ate at the Kona Cafe that was really good. We're going to try the Aloha show next time.
At Coronado Springs we tried the Maya Grill that was also good.
One I really liked was at the Animal Kingdom Lodge called Boma ~ Flavors of Africa. It's a buffet and it's really good. They have carved meats to salads with fruit vinaigrettes. I really liked it personally.
We went to the Restaurant in Canada as well. We liked it but we aren't sure if we'd do it again.
Be careful when you are registering because some restaurants count as two dinners. Make sure you ask what each counts as.
Have fun! I wish I were going back again. lol

Hmm, well, it is hard for me to suggest anything because I basically love all the restaurants. A perk of being one of the Coordinators (basically co-manager of a certain area), I never have to bother with reservations. Still if I had to narrow it down, I would say go to EPCOT. That is my favorite park to eat at. I go to a different country once every week. I love it. Still, my personal favorite, food wise, is actually the San Angel Cantina in Mexico, because it has great food, no reservations, short lines, and cheap meals. Still, if you want a sit down place, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at Norway is good because it has characters all day and Biergarten Restaurant at Germany is good because it has an all-you-can-eat buffet, which is super for those of you who love to eat. Heh. The only two I do not suggest are Nine Dragons and Lotus Blossom at China. I love Chinese food, but Disney World is not very good at making it. One of its only flaws. Unfortunately, I am working at EPCOT today so I am having trouble thinking of other park's restaurants. Sorry.
((Wow, I spelled restaurant wrong every time, even this time. (I actually forgot the "t." What is wrong with me today?) Good thing I have spell-check.))
