I got this invitation in the mail (for my parents, actually) & it said something like, "Please attend the Awards Night Ceremony to celebrate your child's success" or something to that effect. It basically said, "You need to be there 'cause you're child is winning something."
So I'm excited about it! [x & it's tonight.
I have no idea what I'd win, but it'd have to be academic, 'cause I don't do sports or anything. It might be a leadership thing, but I think there are people who are more prominent leaders in my grade.
But I'll let you all know when I find out. ;O
I think I mentioned in another thread here what my dad said. :/ So basically, I'm gonna hopefully show him up. Prove him wrong.
I hope it's an amazing award. cool

All I got was Perfect Attendance for 2 Years in a row. ):
So my dad was basically right.
But I'm okay with it now.
What upset me most was that my dad assumed it was just gonna be something like perfect attendance, as if I couldn't possibly get a leadership award or something.
& it was pretty upsetting to see everyone I know getting multiple scholarship, and one of the scholarships was awarded to 30 people, and it was one that I applied for, so I thought I'd get it, and then I didn't. :/
It's just annoying that I never get recognized for anything I do, except my dedication on actually showing up. rolleyes No one even says they're proud of me, even though I'm a straight A student.
But I'm over it now.

I'm proud of you! You do a lot for this guild! Trying to keep it a live and everything =]
My dad assumes stuff too, like I can't do anything right. Like I has an interview yesterday at Journey's for a job, and when I came home he was like "How'd it go? Did they hate you? They hated you didn't they? Yeah they hated you! You're never going to get a job."
I didn't even get a chance to answer cause he kept on going and going and going.
But it's ok~ The guy seemed to like me, and tomorrow I get to sing and dance for the interview/audition thing for Cold Stone Creamery. It's gonna be fun =]

Aww, thanks. [: I'm glad you noticed.
And he said those weirds in all seriousness? D: That's terrible. I'm not sure if my dad would assume I didn't get a job or not. The only times he says nice things about me usually is when he's being competitive. :b Like bragging to his coworkers that I won some scholarship or something like that. Just to better his image.
But he also gossips to his coworkers about me, apparently. :/ Like when he told one that I'm a vegetarian and they were talking about how much of a hypocrite that makes me, even though neither of them know me. They assumed that I wear leather, which I agree would in a way contradict being vegetarian, but I don't wear leather. I have some suede shoes that I've had for like 6 years (I've only been vegetarian for about 2 years) but I don't see the point in throwing something out that I already have.
You have to sing and dance for a job at a creamery? xD Is that like.. part of the job or something? Isn't it just an ice cream place?

Yeah that sounds like my parents. Only brag about my good points so it would better their own image. But it's okk, I still love them somehow. Oh wow, that's just stupid. Why judge someone like that? I tried to be a Vegetarian because I love animals, but it didn't work out very well because I forgot that when I don't get enough nutrients, my face breaks out in a rash. I was stupid then and didn't know the ways to get them and didn't have the means to then. Now... I just know I can't do it. lol at Cold Stone... you have to sing when you get a tip lol. The one I'm applying to is smart and only does it when people ask for it. It sounds like fun cause I'm a total theater kid and likes to perform =]

I'm not nearly that determined. :b
I've faked my mom into believing I was sick just because I didn't feel like going to school.
