Jonas had just opened his shop for business for the day, and he already knew it was going to be a busy day. He had plenty of business to get caught up on after using his free time up on Jamie and blythe, and he still hadn't seen Karin to give her a couple things she had left in his shop. So he had no time to spare, he had to get some things sold to make up for the time lost the last couple days.

Now that getting settled into Jessi's store was finished, Anny and Anthony took their time to explore the rest of the town, watching on as horses trotted their rounds, the blacksmith hammered away, and the time-backwards town went about it's day. Anthony hadn't seen Chris in a few days now, and he'd begun to worry. It wasn't like he really knew the guy, but the older man was the only 'real world' person he'd known, and then he ran off to the witch. Jessi had asked a few probing questions, and Anthony was running out of excuses.
Seeing a shop with many strange objects inside, Anny dragged Anthony into the store. Considering how bright the day was, the darkness of the indoors took a moment to get used to.

Jonas was doing a tally of his sales and what he had earned that week in a logbook he kept in a desk when Anthony walked in, a bell's dull ring alerted Jonas to the possible customer's presence.
"Good day young man, is there anything I can help you find?" Jonas asked as he set the logbook away in the desk, the shopkeeper standing up and walking over closer to keep an eye on Anthony. The young lad didn't look like he was from around Loghedge.

Anthony's eyes adjusted to see the man behind the counter after a moment. In an effort to be funny, Anthony told the absolute truth. "A pay phone, but I have a feeling that's not gonna happen, eh?" Anny smirked beside him. With his dealings with Jessi, the man would probably give an odd look and leave it at that. On the other hand, the shop did seem to have some interesting items.

Jonas did give Anthony an odd look, what was it with this influx of people that looked and acted so odd in Loghedge? It wasn't anything like Jonas could recall.
"No.... have nothing like that Lad, got plenty of everything else, feel free to look around as you wish, just ask if you need help with anything"
The shopkeeper went to go set some things on a shelf, and arrange some other things. Finally, Jonas had to ask.
"You aren't from around here are you?"

"M'kay, sure. Everything looks pretty neat." Anthony wandered around the room, Anny following behind him. To tell the truth, just about every object in the room did look interesting, but not in the way that Anthony liked. He had hoped for more snazzy things, fun things to use, even toys or some sort. There seemed to be more practical than exciting things, though. There was one strange wood and metal thingamajigger that looked like a cross between a juicer and a pepper grinder, and he could see a quilt rack in the corner. It seemed more like a boring garage sale.
"Nope, not really. As in, I don't exactly rem'ber coming here, I just kind of was minding my own business and suddenly I was blackin' out and I wake up in the forest. Funny, huh?" Anthony kept telling himself it was funny, and it was a great adventure. It helped with missing home.

"So you ..just blacked out and woke up near town?" Jonas asked, he thought it was mighty strange....very strange indeed since Anthony wasn't the first person he'd seen that had given a similar answer.
"you know, I met someone the other day that gave me just about the same answer, a woman named Karin who I had run into in the woods and brought her back into town here, you wouldn't happen to know her?"

"Uhh, no... wait! Was she the one with the camo pants? Then yeah, I think so. White shirt, brown hair?" At least, he thought she had brown hair. It had been rather dark and he was already tired at that point. Could this guy have actually known her? Maybe she could tell them what was going on!

Jonas shook his head "no sorry.....she had black hair from what I recall, and i don't know what you mean by 'camo' pants, I've never heard of that before" The shopkeeper replied as he went back to a glass enclosed viewing case to add a few items in there, and arrange them to look nice. Some of the items looked like trinkets or charms of some kind.
"Nope, I don't think we're talking about the same person, but there have been a number of strangers arriving in town lately"

Anthony was getting used to covering terminology-thingies now. "Oh, uh, Camo clothes are the ones with all the green and brown splotches so you can hide better."
He was glad to hear of more strangers, for a change. At home, a lot of strangers could mean a lot of people who could be trouble, but here it probably meant normal folks. "Neato! Hopefully one of them knows the way home, huh?" The chances were good, anyway. Anny gave him a quiet smile. "I wonder if it's one of those search party things, yknow?"

"Oh? I haven't seen many wear anything like that, some of the more serious hunters maybe, but they usually make their own." Jonas said as he looked out to the market's street; Where were the other customers? he needed some to show up since it was starting to look like Anthony wasn't going to buy anything.
"you need help finding your way home? you wouldn't be the first, met a young'un named Jamie and helped him out of town till he ran into someone he knew"

Anthony considered the offer it was tempting, but why would he want to take Anthony out to the forest? It seemed dangerous or something, although the Alex guy was out there, somewhere. "Well, y'see, I had found somebody while in the forest, Chris. Army guy or somethin'. And he hasn't come back from a trip to talk to somebody. Someone at the inn said that they'd have the answers. It's been, like, five or six days." Maybe this guy knew something, if he knew about people in the forest.

"I've heard some of the new folks in town are staying at the inn....and the boy Jamie, the person he met that he knew was named Alex, but don't know if it is the same person or not, Alex is a common name" Jonas said as he sat down on a stool with a sigh. He didn't want to lead another person off to try and find what they were looking for.
"Your best bet if you're looking for someone is to go to the Dragon's eye inn, its just about the only inn around in town so its hard to miss"

Anthony briefly looked away when Alex's name was mentioned. He was supposed to be a secret. "We - Chris and I- stayed at the inn the first night." Anthony wasn't sure how much was just too much information to tell the guy. Chris had been all secretive, but all of the townsfolk all seemed to friendly! "I suppose we could go back and look in the restauant part of it, anyway."
Luckily for Jonas, Anthony had no idea what he was looking for.

"The inn does have some good food, I used to go there to eat, but not so much now-a-days, I can afford to eat other-where and I have my own stock that I keep when I need to make a meal for myself" Jonas said as he picked up an item and put it away.
"So anything else I can help you with today?"
