Kraftig Felter is the fields of the old. This field has been battled upon for centuries. This field has also been the field that the last, cataclysmic battle was upon that the nations of old were destroyed. as this field is now a small town surrounded by the best wheat in the world, it is very valuable to the Earth Nation for food, either for them or for others in the world. The fields are based right at the feet of the fire nation.

Nadia exited the pub mumbling curses under her breath. Dragging her feet, she reluctantly walked off to the flight master. She had a job to do but was particularly against it, still it was the only task she's had in weeks and she needed the pay.
Walking amongst the farmers, Nadia stared at the ground. She took the instructions from her pocket, rolling her eyes again as she read them. "I hate studying. I don't see how it's going to help us with the growing tension." She put the instructions in her pack and hooked her thumbs onto her belt as she continued walking.

Nadia continued her slow pace overhearing a group of farmers gossiping about current events. It all sounded like mundane chatter until she caught ear of 'Castle destroyed', 'Eclipse', and 'Palpisol frozen'. She stopped dead in her tracks after hearing about her nation's capital. Could it really be encased in ice like they say?
Nadia started running in a panic. As she arrived at the flight master, she tossed money at him. "I need to get to Palpisol quickly!" She hopped onto the gryphon and held on as it took off flying for Palpisol at top speed.

Nadia had arrived a bit late in the evening at the flight master's place. practically jumping off the gryphon before it could even land, she made a short forward roll to remove some of the impact and sprang up sprinting toward the pub.
The chatter in the streets was different. People were talking about war on the horizon and trouble brewing between the nations. Her pace slowed remembering what the prophecy said as she approached the pub. Breathing very rapidly, she pushed open the door and called out to speak to her client.

Nadia emerged from the tavern embarassed and confused. She clutched the coin purse she was given as she stormed off. "I hate sages. They just love to talk over your head and be condescending." She tried to contain her anger walking by farmers and civilians in the street as she headed south toward the bay.

In a field on the outer edge of Kraftig Felter, a vibrant flash of light formed. A circular gateway appeared, a swirling disk floating just above the ground like water with a reflected image. Maryl emerged from the portal along with many wet, tired, and battered civilians from Terra Tanta. Maryl moved over to a high point on the hill and sat down.
Some of the emerging refugees bowed and thanked Maryl. Still shaken many began walking toward the town with worry in their voices.

Kel noticed gathered people out in a field. He dissipated his inertial shield and dropped out of his full flight landing on the ground. He set down the old lady first as some relieved family members charged up to greet her. Kel started walking with Seth still holding onto him. He approached the hill Maryl sat on and stopped, standing next to Maryl. "Hey, are you okay?"
Seth shook her head and let go of Kel before taking a seat on the ground. "Dad... Did you find anything out?"
"Nothing conclusive. Something undead did this. I KNEW I recognized that smell. Also undead have a different energy signature. It's negative."
"But, you didn't see them or hear them?" Seth took a moment to ring out her cloak.
"Nah. The water points to the nation naturally. The undeath points to a puppet. It's all up in the air from here though. Guess who's going to get the blame first?"
Seth pounded the ground in a fit. "Ugh! I hate this! It's like the entire world is stacking the deck against me!"

Maryl had been sitting there quietly with her eyes shut. Through her silence visions came into her. She wasn't terribly sure if they were all recent history or if some may be of the future. The collision of information snapped her out of her calm.
"What if we head out to the water and fire nations first?" Maryl stood up. "There's no time for us to just sit here. The chaos will only continue. Why would the king be a proponent of the war?"

Hearing Maryl, Kel immediately turned his attention to her. "WHAT?! The king?!" He paused, going back into his calculative mode. "Actually, that does explain the negative energy and the stench of undeath. I guess it's not terribly surprising that he'd create a situation between two unrelated nations."
Seth had also turned to Maryl in surprise. "How did you figure this out?"

Maryl took some pride as she raised her arm. "I'm a diviner. I specialize in the divination school, so those spells come easiest to me." She reached into her bag pulling out her crystal ball and setting it next to her book. "Visions just come to me fairly frequently, every week or so... The only way I'll miss it is if it couldn't happen." Maryl sifted through the book as she continued, "It's not just him though. There's someone else. I don't know if we can stop them though. There's too many things set in motion. We're too small a force to stop them."

"We can't just do nothing! Terra Tanta was completely destroyed. If we just sit on our hands and wait for it to blow over, every other town will suffer the same fate!"
Kel looked up at the sky, then at the few forlorn refugees hanging around from Terra Tanta. "We may not be able to stop this train, but if you wish, we can do whatever possible to try to protect the people caught in the middle." He patted Seth on the shoulder. "I think the normal people are the ones who will suffer the most in all of this. If they aren't exterminated before war's end."
"THOSE GREEDY SONS OF BITCHES! THEY DON'T CARE WHO THEY HURT!" Seth sprang into the air to fly off.
Kel reached up and grabbed Seth by the leg. "Just a minute now, kiddo. We can't fly off the handle without a plan." He maintained his grasp on Seth, setting her down and keeping a hand on her shoulder. "Maryl, is there anything else you can tell us?"

Maryl held her crystal ball aloft. As she released it, it floated on its own emitting a faint glow. "Well Terra tanta wasn't the first great destruction. Hell on earth was destroyed in a similar manner. I guess it's nice though that the elemental spirits reclaimed their home for that region... Air and Fire are preparing for a clash. Fire's resources are allready damaged, this could end them."
She paused focusing into the ball. "The someone from earth is going out south alone. What is she thinking?"

Kel shrugged. "Strange era of eco-terrorism we live in..."
Seth shook her head, "Dad! Someone has to stop that girl! She'll just martyr herself and perpetuate conflict between Earth and Water." There's not a lot of planet left after that.
"Right... You go try to stop her. At the very least, make her reconsider kamikaziing into water. I'll go see what I can do about fire. Maryl, do you think you can set up a refugee camp? We're going to end up with more people like this." Kel let go of his daughter and turned to face vaguely in the direction of the fire mountains. He noticed the ash cloud above it was thicker than it used to be. "Could be an omen..."

Maryl looked away from her crystal ball. "I'll see what I can do, but we'll need supplies. I guess since Noytral Klar isn't too far from here we can benifit from them."
She returned her focus to the ball and created an image in it. "This is Journey. She should stand out as long as she's sobbing wet like that."
"Good luck." Maryl put her hands together. The crystal ball faded and gradually lowered to the ground. Maryl started walking toward the refugees waving her arms and raising her voice.

"Thanks Maryl, and you too." Seth nodded and turned to face southwest toward Terra Tanta.
"Well, time's wasting. Lets go!" Kel jumped up into the air in sync with Seth The two of them split up, flying in opposite directions creating a bright flash followed by a faint glow of their flight trails.
