Hmmm. I'd have to say on this one that Nintendo should be producing more Kirby games but I guess the anticipation of waiting makes you want to buy the next game even more. Maybe they don't come out with as much games as they can because (and I'm no game-developer expert): a) The Kirby fan base is small compared to others so in turn will not make as much games. b) They are focusing on developing a new Kirby game already. (possibly Kirby Wii) c) They are focusing on developing other games (like Mario games, Zelda games, ect.) d) They don't have the time and/or (possibly) the money
I would definatly like to hear responces on this. I'd like to hear what you guys have to say about this.

I don't want to rush Nintendo, but I'd like to see some more enthusiasm towards Kirby. The whole habit of releasing Kirby games late in the system's life (if at all) annoys me. But if they're actually planning something, then I'm willing to wait.

...I don't really agree with this topic, XD.
Ever since Kirby 64, there has been one Kirby game out a year concluding with Dorocche in 2006. (No new Kirby game in 2007)
So I don't really think they aren't producing enough, I think they're doing just fine. Just compared to how many retarded idiots will go (and hate me for just calling them that) buy Twilight Princess without thinking just because it has "Zelda" on it is a lot bigger than those who would have interest in a Kirby game.
Then you have Mario that has like, a billion games out a year and they aren't even the main series, so I guess the real question is: Do you want Kirby to be a money-milker, or have a good game?
And actually, that habit of releasing a game late in a system's life (which is pretty much verbatim off of KRR's files which I guess they haven't updated all this time), has not happened since Tilt'n'Tumble. Every Kirby game released on GBA, GCN and DS did not come out late or whatever. They came out during the peak of the system, or just during the system's lifespan. (Mirror could be questioned, but since there were like NO GOOD GAMES when the DS was initially released, I consider the GBA's lifespan to push onto late 2005)
As it is, apparently (some guy that is sort of my friend argued with this with me), there are too many Kirby games already, so they should just stop making them because they suck. (THAT'S WHAT HE SAID, NOT ME) But then look at a franchise like Pokemon. ....how many of the billions of games that it has released in the past 10 years are actually GOOD? ....to be frank and honest, not that many. Cause not many of them do something ORIGINAL.
This is also a thing to keep in mind, you could just have another "Dreamland" like game be released every year and have nothing new to look at, or you could wait and have something awesome. I'd rather wait and have something awesome.

This is something horrible I'm about to say, but I'd rather they actually try to push the franchise more than actually make a new game. Like translating the manga into english and selling it outside of Japan, or making a sequal to the anime. (Or a better anime.) I love Kirby as a character more than I love his games. Though, I do love his games.
I don't see why you didn't like Twilight Princess Kenta. neutral It had beautiful graphics, good gameplay, and an awesome story line. I kinda wish they would make at least one Kirby game that is somewhat like that. (Though you'd probably hate it...)

No, I agree with Kenta now (finally, someone who didn't obsess over TP!). And I'm sorry for exaggerating. I didn't think this particular topic through.

That game was the biggest waste of $50 ever. Graphics? Sure, whatever, REALISM IS SO AMAZING THAT IT actually is ******** boring. Brown, brown, and more brown. Hooray. Gameplay was gimmicky (Wii version anyways) and it had plot holes everywhere. Sorry, it sucked, =/. Kirby can never have a game like that, cause the world of Kirby is more fictional and full of COLOR. Realism can go look at Dr. Eggman of Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 and realize that it just DOESN'T WORK for cartoony characters. ANYWAYS~ Thank you Laurylina. As for milking the other Kirby stuff... the problem is that he just isn't POPULAR enough in the US. That's another story entirely. And if the Zelda mangas are JUST coming over to the states now, Kirby's a long-shot off.

Kirby could become more popular if they tried appealing to younger children more. Like maybe airing the dub on cartoon network.

The problem with that is that younger children come out of that phase of content and fantasy a lot earlier by exposure to the crap that the real world has and the media.
Toys that are to promote a PG13 movie being sold as things for kids 6+ isn't exactly showing that the kids have the same kind of innocence anymore. Even if Kirby was better appealed to the younger audience (and quite frankly, it already has been) it wouldn't help much.

And it would definitely not be a good idea to go through the effort of creating a Kirby game only suitable for the youngest of gamers. It's not that older fans wouldn't buy it, but by that point the game would have been softened so much it would be too simple.

*Walks up with a +5 Fire immunity Tower Shield.*
I actually enjoyed Twilight Princess very much. Not even just because it's a Zelda game. I'm not even a massive LoZ fan.
I don't think being a money milker is really such a bad thing anymore. Square did this with Final fantasy just by the very name. They're not stopping either. Inspite of all the off main series games Mario has apparently his popularity hasn't diminished because of this. SMG did exceedingly well. I don't think building up side money makers while gearing up for the next big hit is bad business practice.

But then there's no time to spend on other games if the rest of the company is busy with the main, side, and excess games of certain series.
Square, to me, just makes sequels. Last original thing I saw them do and pick up fans was Kingdom Hearts. And point blank, I think the same of Square that I do of the TP fanatics. Idiots. Whether or not you like me for that is your opinion, but whaevs.
Galaxy actually, only did well once outside of Japan. Most of the Japanese sales failed due to motion sickness that Japanese gamers got when playing the game.
It's not that being a milker is bad. It's only bad when it takes up the resources of EVERYTHING ELSE.

I don't take exception to other people's opinions. I could really care less. Some others here only took exception to your comment because it isn't really fair to judge someone because of one minor thing they enjoy. When it comes to opinions over video games, such beliefs tend to fanboyism. And the comment was exceedingly rude.=D
The thing about milkers is they mean easy resources more quickly. Some companies (Koei) thrive on milkers (Dynasty Warriors and now Samurai Warriors). They do so to the point of not really putting extreme focus and effort into some big name game. It may not get them much recognition but it keeps them going.
