So, I downloaded a free trial of Adobe Illustrator, and I now have 30 28 days to come up with some things for my portfolio. It took me 2 days to do this one. What do you think?

Ooooo, that's neat~
I dunno what exactly what should go into a portfolio, so I can't really give much feedback on that. <.<" But I think it looks nice.

Wow that's cool! Very nice. the highlighting seems a little harsh but I am inclined to wonder if that's an artifact of the program since I know you and your stuff is amazing all the time.

Yeah, Illustrator is a vector drawing program, which is very different from what I normally use. Each color is drawn as a separate shape and you can move the shapes around separately, so they don't blend together. Here is a good example of the difference. (:

Ooh, that's actually really neat~ I like that zooming in doesn't make it so blurry.

Yeah, that's the nice thing about vectors. You can resize all you like and the quality doesn't ever go down. The type of graphics I normally do don't lend themselves well to that sort of thing though. It's a whole different approach, and you can't get anything like realism out of drawing people with it. The best you can hope for is a cartoonish look. I want to try again, without trying so hard to make it realistic. I just haven't had the opportunity yet. (:

Yeah, it's a neat picture & really well done, but I think it will look better when it isn't almost-but-not-quite realistic.
