is it really possible to get emulators on a ps3?

yes it is possible with linux, when i am on the pc ill type how

ive done it with the 40

basically what you do is you get yellowdog linux on your ps3 you get WINE (windows program emulator) then u download the emulator and roms. depending on what emulator u want, there could be some linux based ones, but i prefer windows based, as thats what i use on windows

but, to be honest, it would be better just putting the emulator on your PC and pluging your ps3 controller through the usb port, works alot better that way, as the ps3 controller wouldnt work 100% with the emulators i was using on linux, so i prefer to just stick the pad in the pc instead

theres drivers for the ps3 controller for pc about, just have a look around for ps3 sixaxis drivers pc

yeah, u can, but it depends on if ur being an idiot

make sure u check what the program IS, look for a review or feedback of it to make sure its not going to ******** it up, make sure u go to trusted rom sites (romnation is a good, virus free site i use often) and most of all dont be a douche when u install it

what i mean is, as with any programs found on the net, there is a risk that there is a virus, or the rom sites which normally do, as i said, good ones i use are coolrom, romnation, romworld, all good sites

good emulators are gens for genesis, snes 9x for the super nintendo.. if u need any others then ask and ill give some recomendations

(NB. im not endorsing game emulation, if your doing this, just download ones u allready have for backup purposes, piracy leads to companys losing money, they dont make money = they dont make new games. abandonware fine, but im not saying emulation is good, plus its illegal, a m8 of mine got caught with pirated software and games, and got fined quite a bit of money. so backup purposes ONLY people..

the only reason i use emulation as its eaiser for me than having to hook up my consoles every time i want to play one of my old games (yes, i still do it, i have my snes hooked up to my secondary tv now)
