This Saturday one of the most enduring sports car races will be held, the 24 hours at the Nurburgring.
There are actually 2 Nurburgring endurance races. The 1000 km Nurburgring race is a high end sports car race with the likes of the Audi R10 and Porsche RS Spyder. The 24 hour race is a more low cost alternative to the 1000 km race, with many enthusiasts competing. Everything from Civics to 911 GT2 Cup's will be racing, with more than 200 cars overall. The track uses both the Nurburg Nordschleife and the grand prix circuit, with a total length of 15.7 miles. Combine this with 150,000 fans, it's sure to be one hell of a race.
