This was over 8 years ago, yet I remember.
This happened to me before September 11th meant anything except my best friend's B-Day.
This happened and I instantly liked reading.
This happened and that same time I filled entire notebooks.
This happened back when I hated pens (which is now all I use).
This happened and then my mother started getting questions about our family. Was Christina kidnapped?
This happened because of a book called Sierna by Napoli.
Oddly enough, I enjoyed that book so much that I never read it, I kept skipping ahead to find out what would happen next.

It wasn't a book that inspired me to write, it was my family. When I was small, both of my parents worked so they left me with my Aunt and Grandma who lived across the yard. Well you see, they would always tell me stories. It go to the point that they were running out of idea. So, they would start telling the story, while we sat on the swing, and I would finish it for them. I think that is how my imagination is the way it is today... and also the reason that I enjoy writing so much.
Sound logical?

Well, for me, it wasn't a book either. I've only ever written poetry, and it all started in 7th grade. I had fallen for a girl, she had fallen for me, a middle-school affair, I couldn't think of anything else but to write her a poem to tell her how I felt. We had read poems in class, so I thought "Eh, it can't be that hard." And, oddly enough, it wasn't, it came natural to me, and she was swept off her feet. I had discovered something for which I had a knack, a natural talent. Also, to give credit where credit is due, my father also helped inspire me. He is a brilliant poet, and after hearing some of his poems describing various feelings of his, different stages of his life, I decided that was going to be my life's calling. And so, it has become just that. People tell me I have a true poet's soul. Whether or not that's true, I'll still continue improving my "art".

Nothing really inspired me to write. I just believe that I have completely interesting ideas, so I just started writing them down and eventually I just began writing small stories and grew from there. Technically I'll be working on my second installment to a series so that means I've probably written about 3 complete books now with 15 other stories in working processes.

Well when you think about it not really because quite a few of those stories only have a outline for the actual contents of the story. xd So it's basically incomplete ideas for now but i've revised a few since I wasn't too happy with them. Anyways I have a very active imagination and what not although I'm still not confident about my writing skills. xp Here's a short part of one that i've written as a request for friend http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=12041609But usually I got compliments like my writing is beautiful which I'm not sure if I should take that as a good or bad thing

It wasn't just one book that made me start to write. It was all of them, even ones I hadn't read. I could see things expressed on paper that one could not express in speech. Not only that, but I get a ton of ideas, 24-7, and as soon as I do, I have to make it into a novella, short-story, poem, et cetera.
If anything, my biggest inspiration is Stephen King. OH! And Spell check is my best friend xd
