There were days when Nyoko wished Animus had been a bit older when he was turned. This happened to be one of those days. Apparantly, someone in the city had seen her being affectionate with her vampiric lover. And had promptly confronted her about inappropriate affections for such a young boy. Then she responded that he was of age, and simply turned at a young age. The mind was mature. The body? Not so much.

She sighed. Maybe there was a way to mature his body... Even though he was a vampire.

The kitsune woman didn't think there was. So instead, she settled for just sighing again and sprawling across one of the low tables of her establishment, inhaling the scent of the lit candle happily. The patrons merely smiled and let her have her moment, too absorbed in the entertainment offered by Twisted Roses, a local band featuring a friend of Nyoko's.

So, he was bored. No, not just bored. Really bored. Which was the reason the young scamp was found wandering around the streets of Midori, searching for some form of entertainment or other. He figured that if he walked around enough, something would hit him. …he just hoped the thing hitting him wasn’t Adrian. He subconsciously touched a hand to his, slowly, healing jaw.

Lowering his hand from his face, he placed them in his pockets. His emerald orbs darted too and fro, looking for some form of entertainment, when music drifted to his ears. Being a natural-born musician himself, he found that he could very well be interested in whatever and wherever the sound was coming from. As a result he followed the noise only to enter a quaint little café like area.

Without saying a word he moved silently to stand as close to the band as was possible. After all, he didn’t need to acknowledge anyone to listen to music. Especially not in a place where they let their customers lay on the tables.

Nyoko's nose twitched as a new, pleasant scent entered her nose. Mango? She tilted her head and looked at the new boy curiously, sniffing again. Mango, definitely. And the scent belonged to him. She couldn't help it. She was curious.

So, she slid off the table and waltzed over to the boy, her tails swaying behind her as she leaned against the stage and casually wave to Cali, the lead singer of the band. The violet haired woman grinned and waved back.

"You sure are young to be out on your own. I take it you like the music?"

Tango frowned as his concentration on the band wavered at the sound of another woman’s voice. With a heavy, disheartened sigh, he turned his yellow flecked orbs to the fox-like woman. Idly, he toyed with the idea of responding to her or not, before he turned his attention back on the band.

However, when he saw the leader and the girl wave at each other out of his peripheral vision, he realized if he wanted to stay and listen to music, his chances of getting away with conversation seemed slim. For a silent moment he cursed the gods above before looking at the woman from the corner of his eyes.

“I’m not too young, and yes, I like music.” There. He said something. Now she could go away.

"I never said you were too young. I'm Shirohana Nyoko. I own this place. If you want, I could introduce you to Cali after she's done today. I'm sure she wouldn't mind meeting a music fan," Nyoko hummed, grinning and glancing at the rather cute boy.

At this, Tango turned his full attention on the woman, his emerald eyes lighting up curiously. Then, almost as automatically as the light was there, it dimmed down to his characteristic impassiveness. After all, he didn’t care for strangers to know exactly how he felt. He rarely cared for May to even know.

He returned his focus on the band before him, giving a slight nod of approval at the idea. It wasn’t, really, that he was being rude. He just didn’t care to talk much.

"Not much of a talker? Heh, my boyfriend is similar. But I'm pretty good at making him talk," Nyoko laughed, watching as Cali finished her song and stepped off of the stage. The violet haired woman quickly came over to teasingly pull at one of her ears.

"Having fun with your customers?" she teased, before turning to look at Tango with a grin.

Tango frowned at being compared to some frivolous boyfriend. Really, what did he care if the woman could get him to talk? He was probably just a sap interested in sucking face, like he’d seen plenty of people doing. Yeesh.

He was about to tell her to go away. Or maybe he was about to walk away, when the violet haired woman left the stage and pulled on the stranger’s ear. He turned to face her completely, wondering, silently, just how skilled she was on that pretty guitar of hers. Singing? That took no real talent. But playing guitar certainly did.

"Cali~ Let go of my ear~ You know they're sensitive~"

"You sure do like them young, Nyoko."

Nyoko's cheeks turned a rather vivid red at that.

"Animus is eighteen. You know that! It's not his fault he was turned when he was ten!"

"Yeah yeah. And it doesn't impede his perfor-"

Cali was cut off by a sharp elbow in her ribs.

"Not in front of the kid! Perv..."

Nyoko put on a bright smile and turned to Tango once again, inhaling the scent of Mango. It was a lovely scent, and she felt like melting on the spot.

"This is Calliope Harper. Lead singer of Twisted Roses."

Apparently, the women in the area thought he was a lot more naive then he truly was. It didn’t take much to realize the fox was a *****. Or, well she claims she wasn’t but facts of nature seemed to point otherwise. He ignored their conversation, finding no real interest in it.

Instead, Tango nodded his head in means of greeting the singer.
“Pleasure. My name is Tango.” He offered in means of introduction. Something he’d failed to give to the fox like woman.
“You play guitar.” He spoke, pointing out the obvious, and getting to the topic he actually cared about.

Nyoko and Calliope both looked at each other and laughed. They could both smell him rather well.

"Tango? Who smells like Mango?" Nyoko gasped, before grinning and catching her breath, subsiding into occasional titters with her friend.

Cali eventually managed to nod absently, patting her guitar affectionately.
"Yeah, I do."

Tango raised an un-amused eyebrow at the pair. “Oh. Ha.” He laughed at the obvious source of their amusement. However, it royally ticked him off, and as a result he turned on his heels and made a beeline for the exit of the building. He’d come to find entertainment, not be the source of it. Why should he stay and be mocked? Besides, he doubted the girl with the guitar was good, anyways. And there were too many scents in the place. It reminded him of Solace, which reminded him of Adrian, which reminded him that he was pissed at the world at the moment.

Stupid emo b***h punching him. Stupid whore who hits on kids. Stupid girl who thinks she’s cool. Not worth his time at all. Screwjobs.

"Oh come on. I didn't mean to offend you. I just think it's cute," Nyoko said, quickly intercepting Tango and offering him a hesitant smile. "And really, you smell nice. The only kid I've met who smelled so strongly of one thing was a little girl a friend of mine adopted... Only she's not so little anymore."

"Nyoko, you didn't even make your special offer! I'm pretty sure he's never been here before," Cali hummed, following after the two and moving to ruffle Tango's hair playfully. "First-timers here get whatever they order on the house if they promise to come back at least once. Nyoko's a generous manager."

Tango scowled, unamused, as his hair was ruffled. He wasn’t a**l about his hair like Adrian, but he certainly didn’t enjoy being touched by strangers. Especially those who found his name to be ‘cute’. If he didn’t know any better, he’d have guessed that May had Polly name him. He sighed deeply, his emerald orbs narrowing at the girls before him. Play guitar or not- he wasn’t entirely sure a free...whatever...was worth it, to come back.

Never the less he decided, there really wasn’t a way for the shop owner to know if he intended to come back or not- since even he wasn’t sure. So why not take her up on her offer? He gave a nod, watching the two before him suspiciously. If either of them touched him again---

"What do you want, Tango?" Nyoko asked, smiling and waltzing over to the main counter, tails swishing behind her.

"You can order anything, you know. Nyoko can get anything she needs on a moment's notice," Cali explained, grinning and watching Nyoko curiously.
