I was inspired by a thread in a guild-which-must-not-be-named (lol) about your prom (or just dances in general). So GSOS, what are your PROMNOMNOM memories? If you haven't already attended, what about other school dances that you've attended? Were they super fun and you looked forward to, or totally lame and you skipped out on them? Did you dress up really nice or did you just throw on something you had around the house? Did you have a date, go with friends or just go stag? Favorite dances and memories from them? And pictures! I want to see pictures!

I went with my Jeff for his PROMNOMNOM, my senior homecoming and my senior prom in 2003 and 2005 (we didn't have junior proms). I loved to go and dress up because I'm still a girl at heart, despite being "one of the guys". My friends always had fun to see what I was wearing anyways, since I always showed up to high school in Jeff's old sweater (which was several sizes too large for me), shorts or jeans (depending on the season) and a plain-Jane pony tail and I'd go all-out for dances. We also had a tradition of going to the same little Japanese place for dinner before dances, as well. We had a blast dancing with our friends to all the fast songs, but shut everyone else out for slow songs, heh. Afterwards, when everyone else went to go party, we always pretty much just went straight home, heh. After his PROMNOMNOM, I had to rush home because my mom actually talked my step-dad UP to letting me stay out until 1, when the dance ended at 12 and it normally took about a half hour to get home from the place (he wanted me home at 12:15 when we shared a limo with our friends!). After my dances, however, we just went to taco bell and then he ended up crashing at my place because he lived about 45 minutes away and it was already late as hell when we went home (I also made the correct decision of coming home to my Dad's place instead, lol).

I haven't gone to the prom yet (but my friends will probably drag me for senior year) but I have gone to Sadie Hawkins with my ex-bf.

I went with his friend and my friend who were going together and we rode in a limo. We also had sushi biggrin It was pretty fun.

We never had a Sadie Hawkins, but I always thought it would be fun *was too much of a wuss to ask out the boys she liked for normal dances, so her jerk-a** friends asked the boys out for themselves in her place* but never mind that!
And I really think that you guys should try to make it out to your proms, even if it's just with friends. I really enjoyed seeing all my friends out and dressed up (Matt, I think yours might be a lost cause, though xd )

Amazingly, the school that i'm "enrolled" in, just had it's prom XD
Lack of funds/knowing people there really puts a damper on things though =X

I didn't go to my prom, not that I had a date or anything. Not that I ever had a date or anything. crying

I even get rejected on Gaia. *coughMATTcough*

You know a year ago they had a class reunion and I wasn't even invited. How cruel is that? I found a page dedicated to it on MySpace. crying

I'm getting depressing, I'll go now. emo

awww honey, it's ok. High School people are mostly pretty lame, that's why we find cooler people to hang out with on the internet xd

Prom memories are... not really important but very overrated.

A bunch, but I don't take pictures in dances.. O.o; Well, most were in 9th and 10th grade anyway, don't want to relive those ugly ducking moments. Not that I'm not out of that stage yet. biggrin *cough*

They looked super fun, I kind of looked forward to them but didn't raise my expectations too high, and ended up as totally lame. (meaning my subconscious raised the expectations) lol

Good heavens, I dressed up nice. I think. Because.. what other party do we dress up so uniquely for? I wanted to wear a different dress than the one I wore, but I didn't want to stand out too much, that or it would've appeared like I was getting married. *shudders*

The first two. All friends ended up having dates, and me as well so we all went crammed in a limo. XD Honestly, looking back, It was NOT worth the money. I didn't know that many people could fit in a medium sized limo.
My date was the weirdest thing ever, yes, thing. We are still friends to this day. Or so we think.
His name is John Tucker.

Favorite dances and memories from them?
Well. he..hehh..he... Some booty dance by Pitbull. The most memorable dance, if you can call it that; I remember a few friends and I went to the edge of the stage and.. lalala.. I danced with like 40% of the people there, friends and whatnot. Not with my date. Not weird enough yet?
The food was... Ok. But the dessert was really good, and so prettyyy! : P DJ sucked, and apparently did this year again.
People, do NOT be fooled by Miami's legacy. Lol
And one of my friends claims to this day that I jinxed her dress. O_o;

Our afterparty included playing cards, racing video games, headaches and lots of awkward moments.
Yay!! PRom was the best night ever! biggrin (sarcasm)
But I don't regret it. It was cool that I went, and spent time with my friends. : )
Though I agree- if my Gaia buddies were there, It would've been 10x better! <3
