Ahem.
Records are pretty much 100 times better than CDs, the sound quality is better, you can get coloured/clear/glow-in-the-dark, etched, ones with images on them, and all kinds of neat stuff, plus larger album art, better sleeves and more interesting inserts. You can buy them new aswell, which doesn't limit your possibilities to older, scratchier ones (Also my Smiths record is perfect condition and it's a late 80s pressing of the french issue of the album).
So yeah, I don't expect many people on Gaia to be cool/smart/musically inclined enough to have records/LPs or their own player even, but let's see your record collections! Woo!

The only Record I have is something I bought last night. Even though I have nothing to play it on, I bought it mostly for the collectors value, that and they only made like 1000 copies.

I've got about 400 albums on vinyl. I do need to go through and catalogue what I have some time though.

I've recently started selling my record collection on ebay. I still have a few though:
3 different David Bowie bootlegs
Gary Numan 'Replicas', 'Telekon', She's Got Claws', '78-79 vol. 2', and a few 7"s. I did have a rare double gatefold release of his album Hybrid, of which only 750 were made, but of course it sold on ebay, for a pretty penny.
I also have a few others, but I use them mainly for turntabling.
