What's your favorite anime and why?

I'm just curious and I want to know what people like. And there are some anime's that I've never heard of and want to learn about. Stuff like that. So, name away. >.<

Neon Genesis: Evangelion.

It's chocked full of symbolism, lessons, abstract ideas... plot twists, and other such things you really don't see in most anime. It's really an all out great series, and is really deep, when it gets down to the end. Even if I had to watch the last episode a dozen times to understand it..

Casshern: The Movie. It was actually a live action movie based off an old old anime, but the old anime holds true as well. It is an epic love story about fighting our own hatred and the results our hatred causes. Also, it delves deeply into the causes of hate, love, and selfishness. I actually cried, and I never cry. Ask Venetian Darkbringer.

Yu Yu Hakusho. Even though it was made a long time ago, it is still a great anime/manga. I love how all the characters have completely different personalities, though they are somehow friends; and I love the way they all interact with each other. As well as the lessons from the stories and the fighting is awesome too.

A new one I've been reading is called Soul Eater. It is a fun Shonen with a lot of interesting characters and themes. Music is important, too. The anime, obviously, expresses this better than the manga, and the story splits after a certain point, but both are incredible.
