Chris couldn't sleep much that first night in the Inn. He tossed and turned nervously in the simple straw bed. He sneezed a couple of times. "Damn allergies." Chris said aloud to himself. The place was okay, but unfortunatly it had some dust issues, and he hoped the sheets were cleaned in the last day. At about sunrise, Chris decided to get up and ready to go to town for some clothing and to go see the witch. He tried to awake Anthony, but he wouldn't budge. That was okay. He was probably exhuasted from the walk and the situation he was in, best to let him sleep it off.

After Chris finished up getting ready, he went to look for Cecil. He'll need some clothing as well, and besides he had all the gold. Chris sighed as he didn't like taking money from others without doing some sort of work or an item in return. "I'll have to make it up to him some how." Chris said aloud. He had a habit of talking to himself, it helped him remember things better and sorted out his thoughts.

Cecil was staring out the window when his ears flicked back to Chris. It was odd how they just seemed to move so naturally, and how they just seem to swivel at the slightest sound. He pulled at them. Cecil felt his spine crack as his tail went up in surprise.

Okay, note to self: don't do that too much.

He turned to Chris, a hand to his hips and a bored look on his face translated into a "What do you want?" Cecil didn't sleep particularly well last night, he was too busy worrying about the guards that he heard near the Inn.

Chris smiled, trying his best to look friendly and energetic, even though he didn't feel too well having not been able to sleep but a few hours last night. "About ready to do some shopping and get going to see this so called witch in the forest?" He tried to say somewhat cheerfully, Chris just wasn't much of a morning person. "I tried to wake Anthony up, but he wouldn't budge, so I thought it best for him just to sleep in while we go to town, and go to see the witch. Plus I'm just a bit worried that the idea of him going to see a witch might not sit well with him. I'm just hoping we are not gone too long, and he doesn't wonder off too far while we are gone."

Drew what clothes she had tightly around her as she peeked out from her room. She hadn't seen Jamie since she came back and had been too afraid to come out after...what happened, but the sound of movement coming from Cecil's room lured her out. Maybe he knew what was happening.

Glancing down the hallway she carefully padded towards his room on new and strange feet, she hesitated only briefly before knocking on his door frame. "Ce-Cecil? Are you in there, it's Blythe," Her voice was wavering only slightly but steadied near the end, sounding a bit more like herself. "I need to talk to you...and have you seen Jamie?"

Talk to me? why? Cecil thought to himself, not out of confusion as it was out of habit. He never got why people wanted to talk to someone who couldn't talk back. Okay, so he had his notebook, but that wasn't the point.

His next thought was who was at the door. Cecil patted his tail under his pants and looked frantically for his hat. Noone but Chris, Anthony, Bone and creepy woodsguy knew of his "Condition" and Cecil would like to keep it that way. If word got around, it'll be a lot harder to stay anywhere near town. He dug through his sheets until he unearthed his beanie, and hastily smothered his ears underneath it.

Cecil took a notebook from his bag and went over to the door. Unfortunately for him, he still didn't know that his eyes were still a bright gold and the fur on his face was still there.

He waved at Blythe.

Chris turned around and greeted the Lady, not noticing her features as of yet. What he did notice was her clothing, that it didn't belong here, so he concluded that she is one of the others. "Greetings Miss, Blythe, Am I correct?" Chris gave a nod to her.

"I can leave you two alone if you would like. We are just getting ready to go buy some clothing, then go see the witch out in the forest. Would you like to accompany us?"

Started at hearing another person, she had been looking down trying not to draw much attention to herself, looking up she gave a quick glance over the new person. ~He is like us...~ "Ah, yes that is me...and I don't believe I can..." She glanced down at her feet, and nervously held her hands together, the pale blue fur showing on her clawed hands. "but if you purchase me a cloak I would be in your debt. I can give you the gold for it."

She shook her head 'no', and gave a dry chuckle. "No it is fine, I-I just wanted to see if anyone else was here. Or, Cecil? have you seen Jamie? I haven't seen him and I'm quite worried...I believe I shall be leaving soon as well..."

She remained half hidden by the door frame. She was afraid of what the reaction would be if they got a good look at her.

Chris held out his hand in a firendly gesture. "My name is Christopher Sanders. We would be glad to pick you up a cloak. What kind would you like, any particular color or style you are interested in? Are you sure you wouldn't want to come with us to see the witch after we get done getting some decent clothing?" He paused and awaited a response from Blythe. She did seem a bit shy or maybe even skittsh.

Cecil pointed at his open mouth and pantomimed a gagging motion behind Chris' back. There he goes again. Walking five miles with him was not going to be fun. Well, walking five miles in general wasn't something to look forward to. He leaned his notebook against his arm and wrote down something and gave it to Blythe, I haven't seen Jamie... You can't find him? You don't sound well, are you alright? Golden eyes peeked through the doorway to get a better look at Blythe.

Blythe gave Cecil a slightly scolding look at his motion but smiled slightly at the jest. Right now anything that was lighter then her mood was welcomed. She lightly touched one delicately pointed ear. "Ah if you could Mr. Sanders, pick me up a cloak and some supplies, that would be sufficient. Some dried meat and fruits would be perfect in fact," she replied worried;ly. "A witch? It sounds like such nonsense to me. Why in the world would you wish to go?"

She judged theri reactions carefully as she padded more into the room on feline feet. "That worries me more now Cecil, that neither of us have seen Jamie, as what our friend has seems to be contagious..." Closing the door behind her smiling apologetically at Chris if she had to move him to do so. "Chris I would prefer it if you were not here if you cannot keep your tongue." She looked him straight in the eyes, cold grey showing no humor in them.

Cecil raised a brow. Whatever was spreading, Blythe caught it too. He tugged at his own ear. He nodded at the mentioning of contagiousness. No doubt there was something up.

What do we have to lose? It's not like what's been happening doesn't warrent something as strange as this. Besides, maybe she knows where Jamie is. Wanna come? Cecil shrugged. It beat staying here waiting to get stoned.

He wrote a note to Chris and ripped the piece of paper out of his notebook, Look, I think Blythe just doesn't want you to catch what we got, that's all. Cecil didn't like Chris, but he didn't want to leave him out without any good reason. Modern day people gotta stick together. ((Yo.))

Chris saw the expression on Blythe's face. He turned to Cecil and had a sturn look on his face. "Alright, if you have something to say about me, you can say it to me face to face. Do not worry, because I probably already have what is afflicting us, if my suspicions are correct."

Chris cleared hs throat then turned his attention back to Blythe. He noticed that there was something wrong with her as well. What ever they have, it seems to be affecting all the new comers, which included himself. "I apologize about that Ma'am. Yes, you can trust me to keep my mouth shut, that was one of my jobs in the military. As the part about the witch, answers, she might have the answers we are looking for or perhaps some knowledge that will help find the answers to the situation and what seems to be afflicting us Ma'am."

Cecil rolled his eyes and let out a silent, exasperated sigh.

Look, I'm just not really in the mood, so I'm going to get it out of the way. I'm a dimension away from home and I've got a tail growing out of my a**! And the fact you're acting so calm about all of this just pisses me off! He returned Chris' look with a glare.

"Somebody has too around here. I don't see anyone else getting anything done. I am not going to sit around and let this happen to me. I am going to figure out what is going on, and stop it dead in its tracks." Hold your temper Chris, hold your temper. "I'll leave you two here. I am going to take care of some things. Pleasure metting you Ma'am. I hope you decide to come along to see the witch in a few hours. For now, I am going to find something constructive to do." Chris did his best to calmly leave the room and walked down the stairs into the main hall of the inn. He did not like having people mad at him, especially when he was doing his best to help. He was just doing what he was trained to do in a bad situation when people were standing around doing nothing, to take charge. Chris didn't like the fact that the responsibility fell onto him to take the leadership role, for he wasn't a very good leader, nor had good people skills.

Just when Chris was ready to walk out the door of the inn, he remembered that he needed to get the coins from Blythe to buy her cloak and supplies. Chris walked back up the stairs and knocked on the door. "It's Chris. I apologise that I forgot the money for Blythe's cloak and supplies. You can just hand it to me, and I'll be on my way, thanks."

Fully closed the door with a click, it sounded with a sort of finality to it, which made a shiver of fear race down her back. With a sad smile she made her way over to stand closer to Cecil, someone she knew. "I must admit that your calmness in this situation is quite...unusual and a bit unnerving as well," She said in a low calm voice, her british accent really coming through.

She cast a look at Cecil and gave a dry humorless chuckle. "Well at least I'm not the only one with a tail...But I very much doubt you are turning blue." With that she raised her skirt a tad higher showing her feline-esque feet and pale blue fur and then after a bit dropping them back in place.

She gave a thoughtful look before seriouslyu leveling them with a gaze, "If this..."dimension" as you put it Cecil is like the similar time period in history then I believe you are correct. We must leave as soon as possible. But, we must first gather supplies and be prepared if we plan on staying out there. I suggest sending out Mr. Sanders here, to garner supplies. Water skins, dried foots, tinder box, and the like in order to be best prepared. Then we might be able to leave tonight."

A sudden look of realization passed over her face and she gasped. "Oh I can only hope dear Jamie is alright and nothing has happened to him! Please God let him have gotten to safety."

She clasped her hands together casting a praying look to the ceiling.
