Ok, I was just playing this one song and it was in Endless Mode. I had a about 800 combo and suddenly a character pops up in the bottom-left of the screen and says something. I have no idea what the character said, and I was sure it was Charmy.
A little help here? I have no idea why that happened or anything...

That's a toasty. It appears when your combo reaches a certain percentage of the song/course's max combo.
It can be turned off in the Options menu (the option's called Easter Egg, don't remember what menu it's in).
