The dragon ball movie coming out in 2009 is some what being kept a secret. please post news or questions about the movie.
The story begins with a young humanoid boy named Goku, who discovers that he was sent to Earth to blend in and destroy our population but instead elects to protect it from an oncoming alien onslaught bent on dominating the universe and controlling the mystical objects. He seeks out upon his adoptive grandfather Grandpa Gohan's dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls. Of which he has one, in order to prevent the evil Lord Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world. And Goku's quest is to obtain the mystical Dragonballs before Piccolo does

most of the movie is being shot in mexico
there will be no krillin or talking animals like oolong.
there are rumors that there will be a trilogy that will end with frieza saga

I'm sorry for saying this!!.... But that movie is going to SUCK!... I'm so upset that they would make a live action movie out of Dragon Ball!!...
I watched the trailer and I just can't stand seeing them butcher DB like that.
I am going to go see it though... Just because its Dragon Ball!..lol

Any particular reason why you think it's going to be not-good? I ask merely so I know where you're coming from. There's some parts I'm not too thrilled about, too, but I think overall, it's going to be pretty good.

piccolo was white cause in the movie he was banneshed for years without sunlight.he is suppossed to turn green later in the movie. krillen is supposed to make an appearence but not a major character. oolong will make an appearence as a shape shifting demon that is really evil. puar is just a regular cat. and goku turns into the ape

Awesome.
Well, actually, Demon King Piccolo was like a yellowish green, from years without light. And, Krillin could logically only appear at the very beginning, since that's when he died in Dragonball.

I just can't get around the people they casted. They picked a grown man to play kid goku.. They picked spike from buffy the vampire slayer to play Piccolo!... Worst of all its not cartoon. It just doesn't seem right! The voices won't sound right not being the cartoon ones. Also... I don't know.. I think its not going to be good.. Yea I am very exciting.. I just have this gut feeling that its going to turn out to be awful! So I really don't want to get my hopes up.

Well, it's an "inspired by" movie, right? That means they can interpret stuff however they want to.
