Id like to know how many of you guild members are going to the gaia prom(probably becuase going ith a bunch of you is better than going without a date ;])
But what I also want to know Is what you think of the hoard of prom related cash shop items. The air of sponser quest all over the prom. The temptation to buy a new outfit that you know you dont really want, and what you think is actually going to happen at the prom?

But what I also want to know Is what you think of the hoard of prom related cash shop items. The air of sponser quest all over the prom. The temptation to buy a new outfit that you know you dont really want, and what you think is actually going to happen at the prom? 
I'm going with you all as a guild (the Celebrity Date doesn't count as a real date, it just makes my avatar look more prom-ish), unless you all are like "GATTA, GO ASK HIM TO DANCE!" -cough-Toshimi and friends at the real prom-cough-. Haha. Well, we finally have some non-sponsor, I think, prom items. So far, I've bought EVERY prom item they've put out, 'cause I think they'll mUltipants 'em and pull them out a bit after prom. Then, once it's all over, I'll have some cute dresses and formalwear in general (I love Gaia formalwear of any kind. Unlike in reality, you hardly find my avatar in pants (or at least informal pants), just a skirt. Now me, on the other hand, haha, you will find in a skirt sometimes, but most of the time, I LIVE in either jeans or long pants. Go figure. And no, this is not a mind-in-the-gutter statement. ^.^) that are no longer available. I'm waiting for a price decrease on those new cash shop dresses, they're sorta cute, but I don't have any GCash on me, so I need to wait a while to get them to deflate.
Also, I don't mind that it's gonna be sponsored. That pays for the bandwidth necessary, plus... well, if it has quests, they won't be "Watch this!" quests, and the sponsor is finally someone who isn't just advertising stuff. Siriano may be advertising project runway (I think that was his show) by association and maybe trying to get some interest in him, but he's getting exposure instead of more people ignoring some trailer. I'm not a big Project Runway fan (I've seen maybe 5 minutes of an episode before changing the channel), but I'm not really bothered by his sponsorship. He's sponsoring a potentially wonderful event and we got some unique new items out of his sponsorship. I'm all good!
And what will happen at the prom event? I don't know, but it should be funny!

If Im honest with yo project runway doesn't mean all that much over here. I am "considering getting some of the new prom items, but the cash shop ones are rather costly.Might have to invest in a few though. But that means I'll have to get two of each, one for my inventory and one to hoard, which ill probably sell off in about 2-3 years. Thats alot of money. Lucky for me $2 is roughly equal to 1 pound.
I better start taking advantage of the exchange rate.

I am "considering getting some of the new prom items, but the cash shop ones are rather costly.Might have to invest in a few though. But that means I'll have to get two of each, one for my inventory and one to hoard, which ill probably sell off in about 2-3 years. Thats alot of money. Lucky for me $2 is roughly equal to 1 pound.
I better start taking advantage of the exchange rate.
tl;dring your own thread. Wow, that takes guts. You lucky Brits with your not-failing currency. I had to use the suckish American dollar (plus some gold) and I only got one of each. I figure I'll keep what I want and sell what I don't as soon as inflation hits.

I'm pretty sure we will not just go but have another forum bonanza! We've discussed that in the Generic Discourse and I think we're going for it. It won't be the best for my gold-pocketbook, but I think another giving bonanza will be fun!
Or at least I'll go, but I think others will do what we've discussed in the prom thread.

I'm treating Prom as just another event...seeing as I am 24 and all...I am not getting all excited about Prom!
I plan on going stag dressed up quite miserably and hoarding event items.
I do hope we have a gift giving thread in the event forum!
