I'm going to be starting the build on my truck soon, so here is where I'll post updates, pictures, tech questions, etc. Can you guys keep the unrelated chat out of here as much as possible please? The Vehicle:(Like you don't know what it is.) 1980 Ford BroncoEngine: Ford 302ci V-8 Transmission: T-18 4 Speed Standard Axles: (F/R) Dana 44 TTB (IFS) / Ford 9" -Posi Yo. xd - Wheels and Tires: 5-lug Steel (Painted black and chrome) and 33" Cooper Radials on the front, Baja Widetrack M/T rears. Suspension: Rancho Shocks and springs up front, Rebuilt springs in back. Current Extras:- No interior. (Red seats and Dash) - Black w/ Maroon-red flames (Needs touchups. Anyone got black spraypaint? xp ) - Kenwood Head unit (45x4 watts) And Two 6" Panasonic 2-way Speakers. - 1.5" Body lift. - 3" lift in back Plans:- 33" AT tires. Done! - Modified (Boss? twisted ) 302ci V-8 In progress, might become a 351w swap - Custom interior.
Current Status: Newest at the bottom. - Storage insurance bought, hole in firewall almost fixed, and a minimal amount of wiring repaired/replaced. I'm going to start the damned thing if it kills me.
- Storage insurance almost run out, Hole fixed, most assembled, tweaking and problem solving left to do.
- IT STARTED. And ran. Clutch is hooked up, a few minor parts like hoses need to be replaced
- It drove. and shifted. And did a burnout. blaugh
- Been driving for a while. No major problems except for fuel tank leak. Has been fixed.
- Stereo to be installed this weekend, with some carpet. I'm going to rotate the tires to put the better ones on the front and the crappy Coopers on the rear.
- Stereo not in yet, CV joint needs replacing, and I need to do the axle seals. It'll wait for Spring, when it's warm. sweatdrop
- Old engine kicked it, so I bought an 88 F-150 with a 302 in it. Updates and pics soon!
- 302 installed and in. Work will commence on the ignition soon, and then mabye it'll run. biggrin
- 302 running, everything is tied down, power windows are complete, and I am once again broke. I hope to get insurance within the next month or so - Took the truck for a drive last weekend, got everything rattled down and blew a water pump. All is replaced, but I need a new rad.
- Got amp and Subs installed. Yeah!
- Took out stereo, put it in car, broke car, bought new car, then spent Nearly $500 on my truck. Woo hoo.

-August 3rd, 2004.- Tore out the rear interior of my truck, starting with the carpet and liner. Easy enough, untill I got it and all the junk out to find another liner and rotted wood under it. Under that, the floor pan was rusting, and I only hope it's only surface rust. Over some of the worse spots, repaired in true Hick-Fix fashion by the previous owner, sheetmetal patches screwed oner the rust. I'm really getting worried that this is going to be alot more work than I can do, but it doesn't look too bad. (Objective word "too.") I'll be doing more work tomorrow, after biking. Pictures will be posted as soon as I get the film developed. On a side note: when the previous engine was removed from the truck, the people who did it didn't re-attach the hood springs, so I did that too. xd So, my valued readers, I bid you Adeau untill my next update.

The rust in the interior looks like just a bit of surface rust, thank God, but the whole carpet is going to have to be replaced. I think I'll just put Rhinolining (tm) on the whole floor. Either way I'm going to continue the truck work tomorrow.
So, Adeau 'till then.

Best of luck on the truck. Sounds like you got yourself quite a little project going there. Hope it works out. And the idea of Rhino-lining the inside is pretty interesting, too

I stole the Rhinolined interior interior from trucks who run in the mud down in the states, and need to just hose out the interior.

I'll probably be getting going again on my truck as I'll have about $500 to spend as soon as my parts supplier (Read: Uncle) gets back. Go 2 jobs stare

I have an 300ci I-6 to jam in my truck 'till the 302 is built. I'll be putting about $1000 into it next week, and the I-6 will be in about next Friday... *Crosses fingers*
