It's going to be a beautiful day. The sun will be shining, the birds singing-- it's perfect conditions for the S.S. Pelliper to set sail off of it's port in the Water Gijinka-Pokémon Community. There won't be a cloud is in the sky, not a nasty wind to blow away any hats when the quick-moving line for the baggage is collected. Could this day get any better?
Of course it could! Unlike many of the rich-Gijinka-only cruises, the S.S. Pelliper is built both the rich and the poor, and everybody in between. Unlike all the cities in the Gijinka region that are segregated (by choice, not by law) into types, and then even further into species, the S.S. Pelliper is meant to bring all Gijinka-Pokémon together to find friendship and harmony, even when the Gijinkas can be as different as (literally) fire and water. Everything has been prepared in advanced, from the fun deck activities to the fine dining cooked by our finest Lickitung and Lickiliky chefs.
Nothing can possibly go wrong...
...
... Except for the upcoming storm which waits only miles ahead, further out into the water. What the Gijinkas don't know is that this storm is powerful enough to rain on their parade, sink their cruise boat, and even drown some of the unlucky ones.
But are another set of Gijinka-Pokémon any better off? They're soon to be washed up on a deserted island with no way to contact the mainland- and they'll have to put aside their differences and all the ways they've known to help each other out, and get off of the island alive.

That's what .you. get when .you. let your ♥heart♥ win, whoa...I drowned out all my [[sense]] with the sound of its •beating•... ((posting before I lose it; I'll delete/edit/whatever if you want me to...))
"Az! Slow down!" laughed the blond and red-haired boy, chasing after his sister. His plus-shaped tail bobbed along behind him, and though he'd asked the girl to slow down, he was having no trouble keeping up. His cheeks flashed slightly with electricity as he felt the energy surge through him.
"Aha! Make me!" A very similar chime was in the girl's voice. Her ruby-red eyes were blinked shut as the sunlight hit them, but a blue-gloved hand soon solved the problem as she cupped her palm over her forehead. "You're just slow, Ro!" As with her brother, the blonde and blue-haired girl's cheeks began to spark.
"Fine, I will!" Grinning slightly, he sped up a little more. Catching his twin off guard, the boy tacked her to the ground.
"Rohit!" yelped the Minun.
"You told me to make you!" he laughed again, standing up and offering his own red-gloved hand to help her up, too.
"B-But-" she stammered, sniffing. Small droplets began to form in the corners of her eyes. Rohit knew this move well.
"Don't use your fake tears on me, Az," he told her in an attempt to sound stern, "It won't work."
Another sniff, and all signs of crying were gone. "Whatever." Azure's attempt to sound grumpy was as much of a failure as her brother's sternness. She jumped up, singing, "C'mon~ I don't wanna miss the boat~" and grabbed her brother, tugging him toward the S.S. Pelliper.
Being one of the first ones to board the ship, one Wobbuffet was already settling into his room. Oswald wasn't fond of crowds, and had arrived early in order to avoid them. As far as he could tell, he was the only one of his particular species on the cruise, though not the only one of his type by far. However, the solitude that he would have feared as a Wynaut just a few years ago was welcomed by the male. Conflict was easier to avoid if interaction itself was avoided in the first place.
On the very top of the cruise ship, a pair of gray-violet eyes watched everything going on down below. The teenager had one leg over the other and leaned back casually, placing his hands behind him for support, and not slipping despite the excess material on his sleeves. As he watched the other species' arrive, he contemplated. What exactly he was contemplating changed every so often. At the moment, the teen was thinking about his recent level-up. He was less than ten levels from being able to become a Dragonite; though he would have to wait for one of the current Dragonite to die before he could evolve. However, the blue-haired male did not feel the excitement he thought he was supposed to be feeling. Usually, when one was so close to evolving, most Dragonair--or even Pokémon in general--would have been ecstatic. Especially so for male Dragonair, since they seemed to disdain the femininity associated with their rank. This one was different, though. For the moment, the teen preferred to be a Dragonair; they were much more graceful than the clumsily-designed Dragonite, even if they were weaker...
Ryan's thoughts switched mode once more when he heard a shout from down below. "Rohit!" Blinking, he focused his attention on a Plusle and Minun down below. His first two assumptions was that they were siblings or a couple. However, after watching them a moment longer, he decided on siblings. After all, though he hadn't spent much time in the electric region and didn't exactly know many of their customs, what kind of a boyfriend tackled his girlfriend to the ground then told her off when she started to cry? Though the electric rabbits held his interest for a moment, once they were gone Ryan's attention was left wide open for anything to steal. ... Hey, make your way to me, to me

Like the Wobbuffet, the two Eevee siblings had gotten to the ship relatively early. Unfortunately, the younger sibling, an Espeon by the name of Soleil, couldn't be bothered to stay in their room for too long. All her older brother, Iahn, wanted to do was rest up for a while before exploring, but she couldn't be bothered to wait for him. It was her good fortune- and perhaps the good fortune of others- that he had fallen asleep on his bed quick enough.
Iahn would have had a heart attack if he had seen his sister standing on the top rail of the boat, staring out to the horizon with her hands on her hips. However, the Espeon did not see herself standing on a potentially dangerous spot. The view was pretty good and the smell of the ocean was outstanding. There was nothing like it where the two lived.
"YEAH! We get to go! C'mon~ Let's hurry! We gotta get a good spot!" a young Pachirisu boy exclaimed, running towards the ship. The bright sunlight didn't seem to bother him at all as he turned around and looked at a much older Typhlosion that was following after him at a slow pace. The other pokemon did not seem as enthusiastic about going on the cruise as the boy and for good reason: they would be sitting on a small thing of steel and wood in the middle of a ton salty, nasty water. Still, this had been something that the boy had been looking forward to and he had a hard time saying no to that boy.
"We're not going to lose our cabin idiot!" the Typhlosion growled, watching the boy scamper back over to his side and jerking one of his arms forward.
"C'M~ON~" the boy whined, "I wanna get there soon!"
"DAMMIT ASHER!" the male roared, yanking his arms fiercely out of the Pachirisu's hands, "You think I want to go on some stupid a** boat?!"
"It'll be fun!" the boy didn't seem to be bothered by the raw attitude that the older man was giving him. If anything, he was used to it for the most part.

Ryan was a little surprised he hadn't noticed the girl before; she must have arrived recently... Or perhaps he just wasn't being very observant... She was an Espeon, if he recognized the features right... "... Hey," Ryan spoke carefully, not wanting to scare the girl, "Be careful." Standing on the railing wasn't safe...
Hearing yelling from just outside the boat, Azure stopped tugging her older twin long enough to peek back out the entrance. It looked like a Typhlosion and... a Pachirisu? Well that was weird. Her red eyes continued to stare before her brother yanked her back to attention.
"Don't stare," he chastised, "It's rude."
"Oh, chill out Ro~" the Minun sung, "I was just looking~" ... Hey, make your way to me, to me

The girl was quick to turn around, doing something seemingly even more dangerous than just standing there. Her red-violet eyes looked over the dragonair excitedly as she thrusted her palm outwards the male, her fingers spread out. "Hey!" the Espeon greeted, sounding as though she was taking no heed to the other's warning, "Sup?"
"C'mon! Play! I'm sure there are lots of people to play with!" Asher spoke, moving around the Typhlosion energetically. It was all too obvious that he was an electric-type pokemon- very few other types had that much energy to spare.
"Dammit, why couldn't you have asked mom?"
"But~ I want to be~ with you~"
The Typhlosion let out an annoyed sigh, having asked the question before as well.

"Watch out," began Ryan softly, knowing before he spoke that his warnings would be futile. He lifted a hand to return the greeting, a somewhat dazed look on his face the entire time. "Nothing really," he replied when she asked, "Just waiting."
"Aha~ He's so cute~" the girl giggled, now watching the two more subtly from further inside the boat.
"Which one?" Rohit's voice was suddenly wary. She couldn't have meant the Typhlosion! No way was he letting his little sis near a guy who looked like a grown-up, and was from the fire region, too!
Azure giggled again. It was so much fun to mess with her brother sometimes. Still, she didn't like upsetting Rohit--when he was upset, both of their moods went down. "I'm talking about the little guy," she told her brother quietly, "He's adorable~ I just wanna hug him~" ... Hey, make your way to me, to me
