I would like to dedicate this topic to those INSANELY awesome TV shows that do not get the credit or recognition they deserve. Though some may differ in opinion of what that actually is, hopefully I'll be able to clear it up.
Tired of reality shows? Tired of competitions, singing dancing, competitions for...dating? American Idol, Survivor, Big Brother, Rock of Love, Tila Tequila? Tired of them all? Tired of Hannah Montana, Spongebob? Had enough of CSI, and Law and Order? Enough medial dramas! (Though I'm a guilty House fan.)
Love shows with an actual PLOT? Developed characters? Keep you in suspense everytime?
It seems to be all the best shows don't get a real chance. Put in a poor time slot, not given good advertising, canced in its prime.
Well, I'd like to accomplish several things with this topic. One, have people name different more obsure shows, ones they believe go unrecognized. Have people tell us a little about the show maybe, and hopefully they'll either find people who already know about it, or be able to get other people interested. I hope to accumulate a big list of awesome shows! (I'm looking for more awesome shows myself!) Welllll, lets go! (I'll start us off ;] )

List of underappreciated shows:1. The Black Donnellys. Tied for my favorite show. Aired on NBC for about 4-5 episodes before pulling the plug. They showed their remaining season episodes(total of 13) on their website. NBC posts this summary: Quote: "Meet the Donnelly brothers: Tommy, Jimmy, Kevin and Sean. There is nothing these four Irish brothers wouldn't do to protect each other, and for them that means lying, cheating, stealing and, occasionally, calling the cops. Narrated by wannabe gangster Joey "Ice Cream," this gritty series bears witness to the Donnelly brothers' sudden involvement in organized crime, focusing on how they go from boys to mobsters, and showing how their new life affects their relationships with friends, family and lovers." Honestly, that barely covers it. The dedicated fans tried very hard for both a season 2, or a different channel to pick it up, but no such luck. (Yet, harhar.) NBC took the full episodes off their site a while ago, but if you'd like to see episode one to check it out, just PM me. 2. Jericho. The other half of the tie. This one was aired by CBS. Wikipedia has its summary as: Quote: The storyline centers on the residents of Jericho, a small, rural Kansas town, in the aftermath of nuclear attacks on 23 major cities in the contiguous United States. The series begins with a visible nuclear detonation of unknown origin over nearby Denver, Colorado, and a loss of power and modern communications, effectively isolating Jericho. Several themes regularly addressed in the show included the gathering of information, community identity, public order, limited resources, the value of family, hardships of fatherhood and internal and external threats. The show also features several mysteries involving the backgrounds of major characters, the perpetrators of the attack, and the extent of damage to the United States and its government. The pivotal character in this story is Jake Green, the 32-year-old son of Mayor Johnston Green, who briefly returns home to visit his family and friends before becoming stranded as a result of the catastrophe. As the people of Jericho struggle to survive in a changed world, most remain unaware that one of the newest residents, Robert Hawkins, knows much more about the attacks than he lets on. That summary is much more satisfying to the plot. Really a top-quality show. This show was cancelled after its first season of 22 episodes. The shows very dedicated fans made many efforts to bring it back, including senting over 20 tons of nuts to CBS headquarters(which has to do something with the season finale.) It worked, and the a season 2 started. Seven episodes, more depending on if the viewership increased. It didn't, and it had a dramatic close after seven episodes in season 2. Fans are still trying to get it picked up by a different channel. CBS still had all its episodes up and running, so you can check out episode one here: Awesome TV Show worth your time.I've been told the first 2 episodes start off slow(I didn't exactly watch them in order.) So, even if you're just SLIGHTLY interested, I encourage you to keep watching. 3. Post to add the next show!

I don't watch much tv, but one show I want to see is Dexter. I always manage to miss that even though I have a DVR. I never see many Ads for it either...probably cause its a little on the R rated side.
