A gentle breeze tossed the dark mane of a resting Dragon, his spattered blueish grey body was long and thin, he appeared emaciated and bones stuck out in joints and ribs when he bent. it wasn't that he didn't take care of himself it was more that he had a difficult time doing so thanks to his own emotional scars. the ache in his belly pulled a bit harder and woke him from his nap. the sun was barely up and the world was covered in a soft blueish light with a light due in the grass he shook himself dry and shuddered. he hated water...
and rain frightened him as it was possible for it to become a thunderstorm and storms where his second biggest fear. he walked a bit ruffling his wings and grooming them slightly as he walked and as he came to a lake, it seemed like as if in a painting perfectly drawn into the open plain with light foliage surrounding it.
he lapped a bit at the roof of his mouth and wandered up to a large rock formation partly in the water and cautiously leaned over the edge. he looked around suspiciously to make sure nothing else was around that could pose a threat and took a quick drink when a licker of movement made him pause.
swimming in the lake was some very large, fat, carp. "hmm, fish..." he thought hungrily. but he'd never be able to catch a fish, he couldn't even walk in ankle deep water much less dive after a fish. his stomach growled and he sighed with a slight moan. and began to search the foliage for fruits or berries. the charms on his gifted bracelet strung tight around his left wrist tinkled slightly as the brushed together, it reminded him he was once whole. but he smiled at the sound and gave a bit more sway to his step to give them more volume and began to hum.
