I absolutly, possitivly, HATE how Butler's lips mess up his singing...
it pisses me off when he talks...
I hate that noise guys make... how to describe it...
and when he squeaks on "PURGE"

I won't sink so low as to make fun of his accent, but I'll yell at Shoemaker... Schumacher(snigger.. I love that name!) for casting him that way. "Young and sexy" isn't the Phantom...

I thought she did beautifully.

I personally LIKE Emmy Rossum, I like her voice, and I've seen some of her other movies, and I personally think she is a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice. If I was a Man I would wank off to her, but being a girl I do not...
Anyway...
Stop the abuse of Emmy, she doesn't scratch...

1. Raoul's wording is off, which ruins the moment.
2. The Phantom hurt so badly, yet Butler showed NO FRIGGIN EXPRESSION EXCEPT FOR A RUNNY NOSE! scream

Anyone but Butler.
I think someone who had actually performed in the show or at least on Broadway/West End/Some business in musical theatre would have been an ample choice. I heard cries for Hugh Jackman for a long time, and that wouldn't have been too bad.
