BACKGROUND: A rose garden is made to the dimensions as shown in the (diagram) sorry couldnt get the diagram. the curved part of the rose garden is in the shape of a parabola (passing through the points (-4,0), (0,6), (4,0)
THE QUESTION:Use the Trapezoidal rule to find an approximate value for the area of the rose garden. (do not simply apply the formula for the area of a single trapezium over and over-DUH)

Okay, so there it is. my first problem... what is the trapezoidal rule! because im in "advanced maths" we havent gone through it in class. we are expected to find out. i did some research and the formulas make no sense. can someone explain, basically what i have to do to solve the question... dont u dare tell me the answer ^^
