 ----------------------- This lets you see the person under an invisible blanket that the military has been making. Because it finds objects, not light. Clever, Although it sounds similar to ultrasonic in some ways.

hehe, nope, it still won't see things that are suppost to be invisible, because some photons need to hit the target and be recorded.
Personally, I see a potentially incredible use for that if it works with Sunlight. Imagine you made the object yourself and put it right infront of the photon collector on the ground. You can then make someone in orbit see a picture of anything you want without actually sending any signals to them. So adverse weather or concrete or anything that might get between you and who you want to send a message to is no obstacle.

Yay, cool article.
So, if I'm understanding this right, the main benefit of this would be that the camera doesn't have to actually be pointing at the object it's taking the image of?
It could work with any light source as long as they have a way to split it into two directions... Adverse whether would only get in the way if it was in the path of the light.
Also, do any of you guys know how they are able to detect the individual photons from the beam which seems like it would be emitting a whole bunch of photons at once?
Could this lead to faster than light communication because each beam would be traveling at the speed of light in opposite directions?
