Ann opened the door,"hey, I was wondering, my ax is dull mind sharping it for me?"she said holding up a short but powerful ax.

 Armand took the Ax and scrutinized its edge. "This weapon is vary well made... I can sharpen it for you, but also the shaft will need to be replaced if you do not want to lose the head in the heat of battle."

Ann inspected it over Armand shoulder,"Perhaps, what wood do think would be good?"her silver eye fixated on the ax.

 He sighed at her. "I would suggest replacing the wooden shaft with steel. I have some on hand and can make a suitable weapon for my captain before the sun rises." He pointed to the area near where the head and shaft meet. "You see, the salty air corrodes wood and makes it rot, steel will not rot and is easy to keep clean."

 "That I do, Ann." He opened a chest next to his coffin and removed many tools he would need for the repairs. "I'll return it to you once it is complete. You can stay and watch if you'd like."

 He took out a large steel ore and placed it into a large cup-like container and put it into his furnace. Then he took the ax and removed the shaft, cleaning out the eye. Once the eye was clean, he began to sharpened the edge.

Ann saw the sparks fly one hit her slightly she jumped away, she look at the miniture burn and whiped the ash away from her hands.

 He takes out a mold for an ax shaft and got it ready to pore the melted ore into. He took out the ore from the fire and poured it into the mold. "Ok now we let it cool."

 He removes the cooled metal from the mold filed down the extra around the edges. Once filed down, he polished it and inserted it into the ax head. "There all done. Sharp as a razor and as solid as a rock."
