Singh was left to wait on his own while Karan went to down them something eat, the place the Training Grounds were located was called the Nökamr Plains. It was an interesting place according to Karan but to Singh there were to many rats running around for his tastes. The young Meecio had watched the vermin as if he were sure they were going to attack in numbers at any moment. He'd stuck close to his friend and was pleased to see that when he did the rats didn't try to approach.

He looked down at the ground, reaching down to catch a couple of rocks and started to toss them up and down in his hands. He should collect some these to use with his sling, something he needed to pratice the use of at some point he told himself as he stuffed the rocks into his pouch and set to exploring in circles around the tree that he had been left at.

He knew he should stay close to it as it kept it him shaded from the sun, "Hmmm... I wonder." He murmured, looking up at the tree and considered climbing up it to see if it were a fruit baring tree.

Altaira had come to the Training Grounds in search on an easier opponent. However, it seemed there was no one around. No, wait, there was, but were they trying to climb a tree? She wandered closer, wondering who would dare defy gravity. Hm, a Meecio, although to be honest, he was just looking up, he wasn't actually attempting to climb at the moment. Could he climb with those hooves of his? Maybe she could convince him to do a training match against her. She snuck closer, wondering how close she could get until he noticed her.

The Meecio circled the tree a couple of more times before he turned his ears forward. He could do this he thought to himself he just had to think on it was all. His tail set to swishing and he seemed to be oblivious at the moment that there was someone else nearby. He moved closer to the tree, reaching up to see if he could get a hold of any of the branches. When they appeared to be to far up he started to consider other ways up.

He took a couple steps back, ears twitching before he started to undo the rope from around himself. If he could get the rope on the branches then he would be able to climb up it to the rope to reach the branches. From there he would be able to scale the rest of the tree on his own! It was the perfect plan he decided.

First he had to figure out how to get the rope up and around the closest branch and he would be on his way up the branches the tree and closer to the sky!

He didn't notice her. A very good training partner. She might just win against him. She took a step back to make sure he didn't back into her as he stepped back, taking his belt off. Wait, that wasn't a belt. Oh, well, a rope would help tremedously in climbing. She waited as he seemd to just stand there. What was he doing now? "Need any help?" she piped up, wondering if perhaps he needed a place to put the rope.

Singh gave a little jump, turning his ears back first and then the rest of him followed to see the one that was standing behind him. He flushed a little bit under his fur as he realized that she had so easily snuck up on him. The second one in so many days to do just htat.

"Hello there." He greeted the girl who was standing there behind him, his green eyes set to studying her closely and he took a couple steps closer to her. She was one of the Teolli weren't they called?

"Help?" He murmured before he looked up at the tree giving an affirmative nod of his head, "I'm trying to figure out how to get the rope up there and tied to one of the branches." He said before asking of her, "Do you have any ideas?"

"Hihi," Altaira replied, nodding rapidly. She fluffed the feathers on her wigns out and gave them a testing flap or two. "I might have an idea," she admitted. She couldn't hold anything in her hands as she flapped and she really didn't want to taste rope. "Could I have one end for a moment there?" Maybe she could tie it around one ankle and drag it up that way. Hopefully it wouldn't drag her down too much since she already couldn't fly very well - or far. She peered up the tree, trying to figure out what the minimum distance was that she had to fly.

He gave a nod of his head and when he had it completely unwrapped from around his waist and he held out one side of the rope to her. This would make it much more interesting as they would have to team up to get to the top of the tree and whatever treasures might be up there! He merely hoped whatever bounty they would find it the tree would be of the edible variety.

"My name is Singh, whats yours?" He asked of the Teolli girl. He decided that he should introduce himself since they were going to be working together for a while.

"Altaira," she answered, reaching out for the rope. She bent over and started to tie the end around her ankle, loose enough to not cut off circulation, but tight enough to not slip off. It was a bit tricky to do, but she managed. She straighted and wiggled every part, making sure everything was ready to go. She then looked straight up, and launched herself straight up, flapping her wings like mad as she did. She managed to lift herself enough to reach the nearest branch, upon which she reached out with her clawed feet and secured a grip. She pulled the rest of herself to the branch and clung to it, wing and claw. Once she was certain she wouldn't fall, she relaxed, going limp on the branch. That was tough! Not to mention it looked like it was a long way down. Somehow, she managed to not tangle herself with the rope - instead, it was dangling down, just outside Singh's immediate reach. Hopefully, he wouldn't jump up and grab it - she'd likely come down with it.

Singh watched with wide eyes as the girl took the rope, tied it to her ankle, and then suddenly took flight. He knew that they were bird like but it had never really clicked in the Meecio's head that she could fly. When he finally blinked to get his mind whirling again, "Wow!" He cried out, quite delighted by the fact that she had been able to do that. It would seem like the Meecio was easy to impress.

The boy started to flail his arms in excitement, "Wow! Altaira that was so cool how you did that!" He called, complimenting her.

Altaira slowly raised her head at the sound of a voice and glanced down at the blurry form. It took her a moment to figure out what was said, but when she did, all she responded with was a fuzzy-sounding "Instinct..." She still needed a moment or three to recover from her first flight. She flopped her head back down on the branch and started to emit a buzzing noise - her version of a snore.

Singh starred up at the Teolli girl, head tilting to the side as he tried to figure out what was going on... then it dawned on him, "Ahhh...?" Had Altaira just fallen asleep he wondered to himself as he started to pace back and forth under the branch that she was sitting on. He started to hop up and down, arms waving as he tried to get her attention, "Hey? Hey! Altaira? Are you ok up there!" He asked of her.

Maybe she was sleepy from her fly up? Did that mean he should let her rest up and then when she woke up from her nap they would finish the trek up the tree? He plopped down to sit under the tree, gazing up at her with wide green eyes and he waited... as patiently as was possible. Which involved the Meecio squirming in place, tail lashing, ears turned forward.

All that pacing and shouting got through to her. Her brain registered outside influence and she found she couldn't continue sleeping. She woke to the sounds of grass rustling and something lashing against the tree trunk every so often. She lifted her head and bit and looked over the edge of her perch to see Singh not-so-patiently waiting for her at the base of the tree. Her eyes were drawn to his and she found them locking on to his and seeing the impatience within. "Murr?" she asked sleepily. She placed both wings under her and pushed up slightly, shaking her head as she did. Oooooo... how long had she been asleep? She might have bird blood within her, but somewhere along the way, her kind had lost the ability to comfortably sleep among the bare trees. Now they just built houses among the trees... She pulled herself sharply back into the present and blinked back down at Singh before sitting up with one leg on either side of the branch. "I'm not certain this rope is long enough for me to secure it up here and have it still have the length needed for you to reach it.." she told him, her voice uncertain.

For sing the moments between when the Teolli fell asleep in the branches of the tree to when she woke up again had to be the long moments of his young life! Or at least they felt that way because he wasn't one who like to sit around unless he ran himself ragged or got filled up on food. When he heard her 'Murr' sound he hopped up quickly to his hooves and gazed up at her.

Her next words caused him to think a long moment, "No long enough? Hmmm... maybe I should have gotten more then ten feet of rope." He thought out loud to himself. Maybe he should have bought twice as much? He supposed that buying more rope would be a good excuse to go back to visit with Lamya again.

"Maybe if can jump up and reach it after you tie it to the branch?" He called up to Altaira, it was worth a try at least.

"Hmmm..." Altaira thought about that, eyeing the branch she was on before scooting away from the safety of the trunk towards the thinner end. She stopped as soon as the branch started to wobble a bit much for her taste and started untying the rope from around her ankle. She almost dropped the rope as it slid in her feathers, but she managed to catch both it and herself as she nearly lanched herself over the side after it. She then clung to the branch until the swaying subsided before looping the rope around the branch and tying it tight. "Ok," she called down to the waiting Meecio, "I got it tied to the branch. I tried to get as much length out of it as I could. Can you reach it?"

Singh looked up at the rope, reaching his hands up towards it then jumped up and down a couple times. He could almost reach it jumping which meant... He backed up a few steps, got a running start, and launched himself into the air towards the rope. It was close but he was able to catch hold... and then ended up swinging back and forth a few times until the rope stilled and he was able to start to slowly make the climb upwards towards his goal which was the branch.

"Alright... I will be with you shortly." He said as he climbed, scrabbling a little here and there. It would be nice if he had feet that could grasp he thought to himself. Or if he'd bought more rope so he could knot it. If there were knots in the rope he would be able to climb it so much easier... he would make a mental note to do that later once he could buy more.

"Once I'm up... we can climb... and look for something tasty to eat." He said, then gave a happy sound when his hands touched branch.
