Here we can talk about close encounters, foolish fun, and lots more concerning the amazing vipers and pit vipers!!!
Personnally, I've only caught two species here in Florida, the Pigmy Rattlesnake (Sistrurus miliarius), and the Florida Cottonmouth (Agkistrodon piscivorus conanti), but both were hatchlings when I caught them, save for a two foot pigmy before them...

yes, "big willie" was wild. it's just that my grandparent's neighbors have seen it a lot over the years. So they named it.

once our cat brought home a dead snake. very sad crying

later we were looking at it and found out it was actually a cottonmouth! How did she do it without getting bitten?

They just hiss and club anything that fights back until it DIES or runs away... Our little (she's a siamese mix and the runt of the litter) cat ATE the head right off a mouse once, so at least your cat didn't die of food poisoning!

I have seen a water moccasin or a cottonmouth. (I couldn't tel at the time)
I also saw it get caught and tortured. Dx That made me quite sad.
I asked them why they had to torture him, and they said it was for revenge. emo
They let it go in the sewer drains on the side of the road then they were done.
but they didn't torture hims too much compared to what they could've done, they just dragged him on the concrete floor in the net. Poor thing. .:*-*:.

I'd hit them with the end of my net if I was there... That's still cruelty to animals...
